if FGCU loses then 5.3% of my bankroll is gone, just like that,

OMG what the fukk am i doing??

why do i have so much faith in this team??

were my eyes deceiving me the past 2 games???

Gl with your play but this team lost to some really garbage teams this year. They had an advantage over the 2 teams they played so far. Georgetown wasn't athletic and can't score and sd state was similar. They will not have that over Florida. They are just as athletic and can score in bunches. I expect Florida to be up dd at some point in this game. How does gulf coast respond to that?

g'town has offensive deficiencies but did go 25-6 this year doing very well in the rugged big east, they can really defend and have length, but FGCU kicked their behind for 40 mins,

i disagree that SDSU is like g'town, as SDSU is in fact very athletic but even they had trouble on both ends of the court,

FGCU is afraid of no one. yes they lost to some crappy teams this year but look at them now.

CURRENT FORM reigns supreme, thats why in hoops they say it's important to get hot and peak at the right time, just ask Wichita St, La Salle, etc

My thinking is that the books are going to clean-up on the public being all over FGCU - they know that everyone and their dog is on the dog and yet they are willing to set the line at +13 (or whatever it is)? That doesn't make logical sense to me - I think they want as much money as they can get on FGCU knowing that Florida will rock them! Maybe I am wrong but that is how I capp it! BOL!

What's wrong with floridas current form? Total domination of minny from the rugged big 10. Teams like gtown don't do well in the tourney cause they can't dcore

Here's my opinion on the Gulf Coast vs. Gators:

I believe the Gators are a legit final 4 team, they have everything required to make it through their region. If we look at the Golf Coast and we concede to some of the arguments in this thread that FGCU is not a typical 15 seed then we have to accurately judge the competition as well:

I think many people were not huge believers in Georgetown as legit threat to make a final four run, I had Georgetown winning two games at best. And SDSU came out of the MWC which was embarrassed this trny. Perspective is key to this match up.

I've heard talking out of both sides of the mouth in the argument for FGCU, if you want to count the mid November win against Miami then you have to count the 20+ losses to VCU and Duke, the 11 point losses to St. Johns and Iowa State, the losses to Maine, Mercer, ETSU, Stetson and Lipscomb twice.

To address another argument that 13 points is too much to lay in this tournament. Through two rounds of play so far their have been 21 games decided by more then 13 points.

good post, no doubt about it. but......21 games of 13+ final point margins out of the 4 play-ins and 48 games so far,

21 out of 52 so 40% but a lot of those were the really avg teams who got in because outside the top 20 its very avg these days,

also, the strongest teams tend to make the 2nd weekend of play, and it's tough to blow out a strong team,

neutral floor but the crowd will most definitely get behind the 15 seed,

fans love a story like this, i like my chances with 13
