Chase systems , fluke or not?
Hat,
I may have just had an ahh haa moment. You are literally playing the first and last games listed on the betting card for the day? So what you are saying is it doesn't matter which game you play, you just play the first half dog, if that loses play the same team second half. If that loses you start the same play again the next day, just doubling your bet each time. So if Bryant isn't on my card I can substitute with any other game, just following the system?

1.1 to win 1 LOSS thus down 1.1 so
2.2 to win 1 LOSS thus down 3.3 so
4.4 to win 1 LOSS thus down 7.7 so
8.8 to win 1 LOSS thus down 16.5 so
17.6 to win 1 LOSS thus down 34.1
Units are approx but you get the idea. You must have 35 successful chases for every loss. Thus 35-1 is a 1 unit gain.
2 losses before you get to 70 wins loses you most of your roll.
And, realistically, it is very tough to blindly play a 17.6 unit play.
I wish you nothing but the best of luck.

FYI: Your units have to be tiny unless you have a huge roll. 5 chases looks like this

with all due respect to jeffthehat i would like to make some comments and observations about his chase system. first of all this is not a handicapping system but rather a mathematical system. if one assumes that the posted pointspread renders the outcome to be a 50-50 proposition then this system is akin to flipping a coin. the odds of anyone picking 5 winners in a row (or 5 losers in a row) is two to the 5th power or 32-1. just like 5 heads in a row or five tails in a row on a coin toss. same goes for jeff's basketball wagers or any other sport given the 50-50 outcome assumption. so essentially you are gambling against the 32-1 shot smacking you in the face and costing you 39.85 units. i am certainly not knocking this "system" by any means just calling it for what it is. there is nothing proprietary or special about his "system". it involves zero handicapping. let me repeat that. it involves zero handicapping. anyone can devise their own chase and keep doubling up until they win and profit one unit. good luck jeffthehat and good luck all.
