$$$$ Gonzaga -3 vs BYU

After watching the last two games for each team I think the Zags are playing extremely good basketball where as BYU hasn't been their usual self lately. In the first meeting this year Gonzaga was up as many as 13 in the second half but lost by 1 on a late 3 and a missed free throw.  In the second meeting which as just a few days ago, again Gonzaga led the entire game and by double figures in the second half going on to win by 3.

 I think Gonzaga is the far more talented team and they will control this game well for 40 minutes. There is only so many times a team can come back from double figures in the second half to make it a close game. Gonzaga pulls this one off and wins by 6-12 points.

Only way for me to play this game is if they are the only game for the day and it will be a forceful play. Both teams have beat up each other by small points. Now the spread is small once again.

I also like gonzo for they are a tourny contender and the only way for them to get there is to win here and maybe fight st mary for a remach with them too. If gonzo wins n pepperdine beat st mary, my money on gonzo right away. Gonzo will have 2 hurdles to climb and i think the st mary one will give them a battle.

I like gonzo to beat byu in neutral las vegas although utah is closer to vegas for byu so more mormon fans in the house. Would love to tail you but i have other games to chase. Will root for your win though

Hey bubba, thanks for picking up the gauntlet. Since CBS shut down our lock thread have been looking at covers without joining. Saw that there was a lot of garbage going on. Once holmey established this thread,saw that a whole bunch of  genuine handicappers came on board. Hope that we can continue to keep it straight .

Western Michigan (13-18; 12-13-1 ATS; 15-10 O/U) vs.  Northern Illinois (20-11; 15-10-1 ATS; 15-11 O/U)

Western mich can not ball away from their home.  They are 2-11 SU on the road this year. 

NIU dominates at their house.  17-1 SU and 11-2 ATS

Not only that, NIU defense is 71st in the nation. 

The Western Michigan Broncos are:

  • 1-8 ATS in their last 9 games following a straight up win.
  • 1-5-1 ATS in their last 7 meetings against Northern Illinois
  • 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a winning percentage above .600.
  • 1-9-1 ATS in their last 11 games after scoring more than 90 points in their previous game.

The Northern Illinois Huskies are:

  • 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following an ATS win.
  • 13-6 ATS in their last 19 games following a straight up win.

This is a no brainer.  One team sux bad away and one team is bad azz at home.  One team has a winning record and one team has a losing record.  All the numbers and figures all points to one team and that team is NIU.

I will get revenge for bubba.  Denver beat omaha in an upset last night right?

Well denver is playing today again and against one of the best home team 15-0  SU south dakota state who is also notorious for covering against the spread 21-6 ATS.  

Denver Pioneers (19-12 overall, 14-15 ATS, 12-17 O/U) vs. South Dakota State Jackrabbits (24-8 overall, 21-6 ATS, 19-8 O/U)

If denver can beat this one in an upset, I will tip my hat to them. 

South dakota state have beat them 2x already beating them by 9 and 11 points and this is against a really good denver defensive team coming in at 38th ranked in the nation. 

But that's still ok as denver has no offense at all.  This will not be another omaha embarrassment as south dakota state will not let denver kicking their butt in the 1h to get into trouble like omaha trying to play catch up in the 2h. 

Once the line comes out and if it is decent enough like anything under -6 in favor of south dakota state, I am going to pound it hard. 

This is revenge for omaha and this is for payton manning calling Omaha in denver.

This thread has been great, Saturday was a bad day all around, but we made up ground yesterday.

I'm relatively new, so only 1-0 with $$$$ picks, no need to track me yet.

I am having a hard time capping the Conference finals, so...

Here is my 2nd $$$$

Pepperdine +7 -(110)

This is about as simple as it gets, Pepperdine is 2-0 against St. Mary's this year, they match up well. Their season is on the line, and they have the confidence to keep this one close. They shot well in their last game against San Francisco and were able to pull out the win, despite San Francisco shooting 50% from the field and 80% from the stripe. St. Mary's wins a close one, so give me the points.
