Getting this one early for a busy slate of games on Monday ... doesn't seem to be a popular pick on Covers but I'll go against the consensus:
Quinnipiac -3.5: Really happy to get this number, especially with the Bobcats playing at home. Marist has played nobody and most of the games are cupcakes they've played at home. The Bobcats have a nice win at Pittsburgh and also lost at St. John's and at UCF and at home to Yale. Bobcats are expected to battle Siena for the MAAC title and after already thumping Iona and Rider in conference play, I look for their high-octane offence to power them to a 10-12 point win over an average Marist team. 0.75 units.

Cleveland State -1.5: Vikings at home -- and while that has not been kind to them this season - they will see this as a big chance to get their first conference win after 3 straight losses (Jags are also 0-3 in conf). They should have the best player on the court in Emery and if they can deal with the usual frantic pressing all over the place and jacking up 3s like IU Indy does, I think they find a way to get this done in a 92-83 type game. 0.5 units.

like the quinn play marist has fucked me enough, they won for me a few times early then lost a couple in a row i agree with it, some money on marist as they went from +4 to 3.5 but think quinn is the right side brother

Went back and forth on this one but I am going to pull the trigger:
Murray State -6.5: Racers are quietly having a heck of a good season, and have a perfect record at home. They are off to 2-0 start in MVC play and prior to that beat a real good Akron team by 15 at a neutral. A big key in watching this team is Fred King ... a center who actually scores! Well he didn't in 3 years at Creighton while averaging less than 7 minutes per night, but has gotten the opportunity at Murray St after transferring this season and has responded with 13 PPG and 8.2 RPG. The Racers have a deep lineup and a terrific inside-out game. Now S. Illinois is no slouch and will be hungry for a conf win after hard-fought losses to Illy State and Bradley. They have been in every game they've played and have a victory at High Point and on OT loss to Nevada on the resume. I think this is going to be close for much of the game but look for the Racers to pull away in the end. Hopefully ... 0.5 unit play.

Not bad, but another reminder ya gotta know when to say when. Talked myself into the Murray State pick late against a Southern Illinois team I knew would be hungry. Murray gets the win but not the cover. Easy peasy for Cleveland St.
