So Rutgers lost to Nova on their home court... so how in the world could they beat them @ MSG??? I mean, the oddsmakers should make Nova -10 since they won by 6 @ Rutgers.
you peeps need to quit looking at past results so much. Rutgers should win this game...

DePaul doesnt match up with UConn at all. They have too much length and get murdered in the paint. The only meeting this yr UConn ran them off the court. UConn is a matchup nightmare for them.
I dont know why anyone would back Rutgers over Nova tmrw. Rutgers is a team Nova matches up well with because they can get things done in the paint. Nova struggles shooting from deep. Against Rutgers, Wayns, Cheek, Pinkston and Yarou can get things done against that small frontline. USF is a different story for Nova - they are long and athletic up front, crowd the paint and dare Nova to shoot from deep. Rutgers is small in the frontcourt. I like Nova tmrw.

Obviously you cant make Nova a 10 pt faves against anyone, but outline the reasons for me why Rutgers "should win this game"? I'm listening. What matchup advantages do they have?

Took DePaul +9 for 5* - So UConn has to win, so what... you think DePaul isn't going to at least try? They beat UConn and it's a huge story plus they're coming of their best game of the year and this DePaul team can fill it up!
Took St. John's +6 (-120) for 5* - Love this play, especially since it's at MSG and the Red Storm will be pumped after getting crushed at Pitt. Nice spot for St. John's.
Leaning Providence, but have yet to pull the trigger. Waiting for 6 or more. Seton Hall isn't a very good team and will be tight.
Leaning Rutgers +2 as well... hoping I can buy to +3. Rutgers should have fans at this game, can't say anyone will be cheering for a pathetic Villanova team.
So like every Underdog, hope they're barking!
By the way, Nova always has STRONG support at MSG. Nova's alumni is very heavy in NJ and NY. They always make the trek to the Garden. Support for both teams will be about equal.

well al u bunch of cry babies---tools, morons and mother fuckers
are forgetting is that tourney= regular season can go to the toilet= some teams and coaches can play in tourney mode--others simply cant
uconn can play tourney mode pitt can also play that mode--but stjohn is at home and pitt has rattled as a visitor nova can play tourney mode
uconn has better talent, players, coach ....
i like st john over pitt because despite what i stated, st john is playing at home so its like thier tourney, and they will be fired up so this can be close

I don't see any reason not to put ten bucks on Pitt to win it at +8500. They have Stjohn's then would play Gtown which they beat this year and then Cincy which is similar to Gtown and could see them winning that game too, but then would have to face cuse unless they get knocked off by the winner of uconn and WVA which I could also see happening. Uconn should have beat them a couple weeks ago, i can see a team like cuse being uninterested in this tourney since they are pretty much a lock for a #1 seed already so Pitt could even beat them in my mind. Watch out for talented, underachieving teams that have only one chance to make the dance by winning their tourney. Either way it is worth ten bucks to root for my home team

Not stating that Nova won't somehow pull it out tomorrow, but this statement, and the one about UCONN being in must win mode tell me that your line of thinking is a bookies wet dream.

I have CRUSHED my book in college hoops this year. I have been the opposite of a wet dream as far as they're concerned. More like a kick to the nutsack.
I watch the games, UConn matches up very well with DePaul. Nova matches up well with Rutgers. Styles make fights. UConn is just too big for DePaul - AND they HAVE to win. Nova had their way with Rutgers on their homecourt in a game where 2 Nova players (Wayns and Pinkston) were badly hobbled. They are now healthier. And the game is on a nuetral court. Asking me to pick a side? Gimmie the Cats and the short line. And no, I'm not saying this as a Nova fan, but as a guy who watches the games, I've gone against Nova MANY times this yr. This wont be 1 of those times.

Thanks Rzagza for saving me 0.5 units by not betting on Depaul.
I can tell you know a lot about individual teams from the Big east. I don't know too much about Depaul, was more of a fade of Uconn than anything else.
Well another reason I didn't place my bet was I didn't feel like waking up before noon on my day off, but I'll give you the credit.

Funny that people are buying into Uconn because of the run they made last year. This team is nowhere near the same.
I also LOVE the fact that Bryant and Jones are seniors. Even if Uconn were to have a 10 point lead with 10 minutes left, you gotta expect these two guys to leave it on the floor knowing it could be their last meaningful game in college.

Wvu + 1 tomorrow big.

Earth... im not sure yet. UConn did play pretty well. WVU had a great game last week against SoFl...should be an interesting matchup. Aint no lead safe...especially right now. Been burnt a few times.

Solid.
Interested in your thoughts for tomorrow.

UConn-1/WVU 130.5. Does UConn keep it rolling and pick up where they left off or does WVU and Bryant/Jones step up to the plate and drown the hopes.
Pitt/GTown 122
No line yet for the other 2 games. would love to hear what the thoughts are. Seton Hall picked their game up mid way through the 1st half and never looked back. Louisville could possibly come out in a slump or maybe they have gotten their act together after last game

Easy work today for UConn and Nova. Nova-RU line was way off.
I like South Florida tmrw if the line is anywhere under 6. 6 or more and no play. USF is the anti-Rutgers. Big and athletic in the paint. Nova wants to speed up the game, USF doesnt let them. They cut off Wayns drives into the paint and dare the other guys to beat them from deep - and more often than not, they wont. Nova needs at least 2 of Cheek, Bell, JVP, Johnson to shoot from the perimeter. Win that 1 and Nova has more favorable matchups in the quarters with ND and Marq, 2 teams Nova played 3 nailbiters against this season. USF is a tough assignment for the Cats.

Heard that brotha. Nova HAS to get big on the boards tomorrow, got dominated first time around on the glass and was a little better the 2nd time around. 2nd time these teams met, Nova didn't have Wayns and Bell got injured, so that'll help the Cats tomorrow. I personally think Nova is better than what they showed both times around and will give a good game. If they want that to happen though, they gotta get physical down low and shoot better from the field.
