Seeing 3:1 odds on Tenn winning the regional. I see that they are +180 vs OSU on Friday on the ML. If they beat OSU, I would figure that they would be favored over NoIowa or MSU in the regional final.
So I took a shot with Tenn, and know that if they could get past OSU, I can hedge if necessary.
The only other value play that I saw, in my thinking, was WVU at 5:2 odds, but I couldnt pull the trigger on them.
I think Tenn matches up very well with OSU. I think Scotty Hopson/JP Price are the type of defender that can contain Turner. Whoever doesnt guard Turner, will get Diebler. I think Williams/Chism inside are more than Lauderdale is able to handle. I think an uptempo style by Tenn, with full-court pressure provides Tenn an advantage.
If Tenn can get past OSU, I do like their chances against MSU (without Lucas, you saw what Myld's pressure did to MSU), and I think Tenn just has too many athletes for NIU.
So, instead of taking +180 on the ML against OSU, I decided to take +300 for them to win 2 games.
