Does Roy have anything left?  I am shocked that he is still fighting thinking back to the Glen Johnson KO where he was out for quite a while on the floor. He has won some fights and structured this part of his career like a comeback , building up to a big fight.

Calzaghe beat Hopkins and Kessler and Lacy and I think he is P4P 1 or 2 in the world right now.

If RJJ can fight like the old RJJ and not an old RJJ i think he can actually win this fight. I mean there was nobody faster or better skilled than Roy when he was in his prime but how far past his prime is he?

Calzaghe is already thinking retirement. In his mind is he retired already?

Devils, I know you are a huge Pavlik fan. I was born and raised in Youngstown. My mom and dad are pretty close to Jack Loew. My sister and her boyfriend know Kelly and his brothers very well. They both went to the Browns-Ravens game on Sunday with Kelly's younger brother. Word is Kelly was extremely sick on Wednesday and Thursday. When he hit the gym on Friday he said that his arms felt like they weighed 100lbs each. Apparently Team Pavlik took a vote on whether he should fight or not.

It was split and Kelly didn't want to dissappoint his fans who drove and spent money to come see him, so he decided to fight.

He did just look a little more pale than usual, and the energy just wasn't there.

I think roy's fall from grace was a combination of alot of factors, the well documented weight situation, the natural progression of getting older and losing skills and complacency on his part.

I think right now he is as focused as he has ever been and he's in a really good place mentally getting ready for this fight. Theres not much pressure on his side, it's all on zaghe to stay undefeated.

Jones even at 39 and less skills then the good old days imo is still going to be too much for calzaghe. Zaghe can't hurt him and I expect we see from the get go Jones will feel his punches and smile as he did alot in the tito fight. I really don't think zaghe has any power and once that happens jones will be able to let things go and be loose. I think his speed will be a shock to joe...

Zaghe said on 24/7 that he needs to make his punches count more and that he can't do the pitty patty stuff. Well thats exactly the only way I could see him winning this fight is on deicsion with pitty patter punches similair to hopkins fight. So if he tries to change it up a bit I expect he'll be in big trouble from the start.

yeah rumor is pavlik had bronchitis.I still think hopkins did alot of things to negate pavliks strenghts but there is no question the fight would not have been nearly as lopsided if pavlik was healthy.

Yup, it's convenient he let people know he was sick, after he took the biggest ass whipping of his life . He could have been healthy as all get up and would have been beat down just as bad. Hopkins>>>Pavlik. Calzaghe UD too.

I see this one going the distance since it will be tactical by nature.  While Roy does look focused, he's over the hill.  Calzaghe is coming off two big fights where the pressure was on him and he answered the bell for both

I've lost all respect for Pavlik if this is true, playing the sick card.  When you are thoroughly dominated, outclassed, you can't use sick as an excuse.

Jones by KO in the 10th.
