My last thread was hijacked by Hopkins Pavlik talk
 
 
Roy , in my opinion, always hit hard. Calzaghe does not and never did. If Roy has anything left I really think he can win this fight. Calzaghe cannot hurt him so the fact that Roys chin has gone away will not matter. I just think that if they are both on Roy is the better boxer.

I like boxing alot .. I am a RJJ Fan hes Money .. Calzaghe is good too I am not his biggest fan but hes no slouch ... BUT .. he hasnt faced much good oposition IMO .. Kessler was taylor made .. hop was off that night .. Lacy is crap .. everyone else is all english bums .. look at what pavlik did to lockett and he was nearly undefeated .. RJJ is no bum . even at 50 or 60% he should put up a good fight I think He is quicker with his punches and for sure hits harder if he brings a lil of old roy which he prob will cause he  will be forced for fight calzaghe is gonna make him throw .. soo I think the SAFEST bet is Jones Jr. especially when 1 gets you 2.5 I will take that all day .. just my opinion .. GL with whatever you may do .. and for the record Calzaghe gets hit man ... and he will by Roys right hand all night .. look for Jones Jrs uppercuts all day

Even though I would lose both my bets I would be happy with that outcome. Should be good devil.... what made you finally take a stand on a side?

Calzaghe has always amazed me with his ability to focus, regardless of the talk and bullshit fighters must deal with. If he can do it tonight, he goes from an over-rated protected Brit to a legend in one night. Not because of a victory over an over the hill Jones, but how he went about it. Same thing with the BHop win. He would then have beaten both the men that everyone said he couldn't - regardless if it was 5 years too late.

I dont know. I just have a feeling that Jones still has something left and at his best i think he is better than Calzaghe.

I am... then I utubed the jones tribute. I almost forgot all about the famous hands down, two bobs, short right hand knockout. I also got to see about a dozen knockouts via a short right hand. Then I got to watch Calzaghe come in with the windmill esque punches beating British dockworkers to a pulp. I'm drunk as hell.. I'll be in rare form tonight... (as long as it doesn't go to the cards after accidental butt in the 6th..) or Jones tears an ACL ala Patrick Cote vs Silva.... those ligaments are mighty old...

Well I went back and watched RJJ vs Rickie Frazier and I figured if that RJJ shows up he dominates

LOL, old Frazier.  One of the worst fighters to ever get a title shot.  Wasn't he a firefighter/boxer?

A cop did win UFC 3 after Royce Gracie couldn't continue after the Kimo fight... if they only knew we would be looking forward to UFC 91 from a multi billion dollar company...
