Eddie Chambers vs. Raphael ButlerUnder 9.5 (-105).6 unitNormally I'm not one to follow the money, so to speak but I'm making an exception here. This line has dropped from +140 this morning to -105 and I think there are more than a few good reasons why. Primarily, Butler is, as Fullbrights loves to point out when the time is right, a midwest / mid-central club fighter who's never been past 8 rounds in his career. And although Fast Eddie looked more like Slow Eddie in his lackluster loss to Povetkin, I think Butler is just the ticket to get him back on track with the boxing community at large. I see a mid-round KO happening here.

Just getting around to the analysis for this one eve though I posted it earlier. Busy day at work.

Juan Esquer vs. Carlos Tamara

Really looking forward to this one on Telemundo. I especially like how they start their cards on the later side, with this one beginning at 11:30 EST. A semi-regular on Telemundo these days, the Colombian Tamara will be the house fighter tonight in Miami. I see him as the technically superior fighter and believe he'll walk away with a hard-fought decision win here. Esquer will certainly be his biggest challenge to date and he comes into tonight's contest 2 fights removed from a fine display in his 12 round loss to Ivan Calderon. Still, I'm siding with the house fighter here, who will undoubtedly be looking to erase the memory of his awful loss to the gutsy Argentinian Narvaez (who recently blew out Ivan Pozo on his home turf in Spain). I saw something special in Tamara during his win against Alejandro Hernandez in December of last year and expect to see the same kind of movement and powerful body work in his match tonight against the smaller Esquer.

Alejandro Valdez vs. Anyetei Laryea
Over 9.5 (Even)
.5 unit Game performance from both men. Valdez won the UD. One of the better fights I've seen on Telefutura lately.

Good luck and nice cash. I am on Tamara with you.

Juan Esquer vs. Carlos Tamara
Tamara (-115)
.52 unit What a fight this was. Esquer gassed out as the fight went on but was throwing some furious combos early on that had me a little worried that he might have been able to outwork Tamara. The Colombian, however, found his way inside with a number of vicious right uppercuts that took out of Esquer. I will say, Esquer looked about a foot shorter. There's absolutely no way that he's actually 5'3" if Tamara is 5'4".

Eddie Chambers vs. Raphael ButlerUnder 9.5 (-105).57 unit Fast Eddie returned to glory with a 6th round TKO over Butler. This certainly had the makings of a mismatch on paper.

Very nice run Brother!!!!

That's what you call a clean sweep, nice calls. Butler's chin was made to order for Chambers.
