2 guys trying to rebuild their careers. Taylor off 2 losses to Pavlik and Lacy who hasnt been the same since Calzaghe annihilated him. (Didnt Lacy have shoulder surgery?)
Im wondering if Lacy hits harde enough he may be able to KO Taylor or will Taylor just jab the shit out of him all night?
Havent seen the odds on this thing yet. Should be an interesting fight and a good fight between 2 guys that need a big win badly

Anything can happen so I won't say it's impossible for lacy to catch Taylor, because lacy can crack but then again lacy has never been the same figher since the loss and the shoulder surgery. Big fight for both guys as this will define the direction of their careers from here an on out. Should be interesting to see how taylor looks as I think it's clear with him being a 5-1 fav he should win this rather easily.

Taylor by decision is my bet of choice, but I wouldn't be shocked if he stopped Lacy. Lets not forget that Lacy went life and death with Mendoza on FNF a few months back. I actually thought Mendoza won the fight.

Kidcole 110% I agree I thought Lacy lost that fight also .. Taylor is a WAY better BOXER then Lacy is he is just a puncher who lost his punch after his surgery .. Taylor Should win this .. but odds are -600 Taylor +450 Lacy .. its gonna be a HIGH like +700 +800 for a KO for Lacy Prob .. which might be worth it cause he wont win a decision and you never know in this sport Pavlik put Taylor down almost did in the second fight too if Lacy actually shows up he can KO him possibly .. tough fight to bet on I would think Taylor by Decision or maybe a small bet on a Lacy KO victory .. in UFC I would take this guy Maia hes pretty good . might lay a lil on Stevenson and Couture by time of fight should be good odds.. MMA is very tough sometimes but underdogs are no walks in the park ..

Another reason I like the decision over the KO is because these guys are friends. I know it may not seem like much, but I don't know that JT could really go in for the kill like he would against somebody else. Also he hasn't had a KO since the Eduard fight if I'm not mistaken.

yeah I've read that as well. The only thing with that is Taylor really needs a super performance tonight and not going all in isn't in his best interest career wise.

That makes sense, but even if he does go all out, who's to say he can stop Lacy, who didn't even get stopped by that drubbing Calzaghe gave him, and he's facing a fighter who couldnt put away Cory Spinks or Kassim Ouma, and hasn't had a KO over a fighter of Lacy's caliber (not saying much, but still) and he has fought once at 168 and looked good,, but still might not have the pop he did at 160. JT by UD that might be closer than some think IMO.

on taylor by ko and the under. 1.0 on each. it's possible, but i don't think taylor will allow his friendship with lacy to hold him back. this is business. few more hours will tell.

I agree with most of the Taylor views here. In my opinion it's hard to see Lacy being very competitive tonight.
It's ironic that Zags in all likelihood sent Roy into retirement the week before Lacy tried to salvage what's left of his career. In my opinion Joe both ruined+exposed Lacy in one night and sent him into retirement from ever being a serious contender. Jeff has never been the same since and has struggled to beat mediocre opposition. I just saw on fightnews (I know I'm a few days late) where Bika demolished Manfredo. That may put even more into perspective exactly where Jeff is at this point.
