Good fight, fair scoring. I had it 96-94 Vera. Mora gave away the first few rounds and continued his trend of "boxing off the ropes" which is scoring suicide.
He came on strong as Vera appeared to gas late in the fight, partly due to some excellent bodywork from Mora. Had this been a 12 rounder instead of 10, Mora would have won the fight.

Yup decent scoring.. through 8 Mora simply moved around the ropes landing a few counter punches.. but Vera was the aggressor and landed more.
Mora talking to Teddy and Joe while he's fighting doesn't win points on a judges card.
The better technical fighter didn't win that night just a guy who wanted it MORE won. He deserved it.
I don't think we will see Sergio Mora around much longer his style is very ummm.... boring :)
Weird he went from a mega fight with Shane Mosley,,, a draw to Friday Night fights... somehow that works backwards.
Usually up and comers or people looking to get back in the spot light like Sam Peter, Chris Arreola ... Zab Juddah... guys that had their chance and blew it one way or another.
I know Mora's style isn't pleasing but don't know who manages him that they go from a big fight with Mosley to a FNF card (against a guy who style wise is always coming forward).
Better we get Mora out now than later :)

1. Mora was fighting through an undisclosed injury
2. More has a substance abuse problem.
Oddessa knew something wasn't right when he set the line.
Are you saying Mora should have been a larger favorite? Why? He had to outpoint a tough, somewhat aggressive fighter on his home turf. Mora was never going to look good in this fight. The line was exactly where it should have been. If anything, it should have been in the - 200-300 instead of floating at -300 or better.
