And your point is? Unlike previous fights, Manny learned to how to box and use both hands and footwork. So, the difference is that Juan previously could hit Manny easier, but now he had to counter and step forward to connect. When you have a counter-puncher doing that and Orthodox vs Southpaw it is very common. When you see a fighter step on another fighters foot during a clinch, that is often used so as they break the opponent loses footing for a split second and a fast punch can cause a flash knockdown. Also, if you are claiming Marquez did this with intent to use as a tool to beat Manny, why not utilize it against Floyd previously? Don't reply he wasn't familiar with it because Marquez is one of the most technical fighters ever!

I actually saw this as well. It happened way too often for it to just be an accident but who knows. End of the day it looked to be on purpose in my opinion but he lost so it didn't really matter. I thought Marquez fought well enough to win if he were champ but wasn't offensive enough to win as a challenger.
The actual reason for my post is I am curious is there a rule against stepping on the other guy's foot? I would imagine so but it was fairly obvious and no one did anything so I was wondering also if it is illegal maybe the judges noticed and it influenced some of the cards?
