I don't think much of Abner Mares, he's moving up in weight and has beaten absolutely no one, he's a hypejob IMO, Ponce is a big guy who has sparred with Abner in the past and from what I've read he's pummeled him easily.

ponce has fought Broner, gamboa, gonzalez, abenr is going to have to move up in weight and overwhelm him, can he do that? he hasn't stopped anyone @ 122, how's he going to overwhelm people @ 126?

Tend to think it'll either be PDL by KO or Mares by decision. Mares has a big advantage in work rate and already brings in a lot of money. PDL might have to route him to get a decision.

yes I agree the books have this fight wrong, the move from 122 to 126 is a big jump, it's not like 118 to 122, ponce is verys trong with 1 punk KO power. he's fought top fighters and never overwhelmed. Mares style is to overwhelm you but he doesn't have a KO @ 122 and takes a punch to give one.

I'll wait to hedge with the over.
