Ah OK, I see where it's in talks now. . .  pending negotiations.

In an interview today with Filipino news organization GMA News, Manny Pacquiao agreed to Mosley’s dare to meet in the ring. “No problem, we can fight. As long we negotiate," Pacquiao said from his hometown, General Santos City.

I think pac will be about -150 or so..I can't really see anything topping -180. Mosley is one of the most durable guys out there and I can't see him just stand there taking punches without moving around.

I think pacman will win but I gained a lot of respect for mosley. He openly came out and said he would take less money and meet at a catch weight below what hes most comfortable in order to make this happen. Obviously this is the biggest fight he could make and hell get a nice payday out of it, he also has the potential for even bigger paydays should he win but it seems to me like mosley is trying to do his part in making some of the best fights for boxing and the fans and i love him for it.

From Dan Rafael's chat, which is going on now:

Jeff (Redondo Beach, CA): How close is the Shane-Manny fight to being a done deal?

Dan Rafael: (12:03 PM ET ) Let's nip this right in the bud -- it's total BS. There is nothing to it for real at this point. Manny made an off-handed comment that, sure, he'd fight Shane if they could work out the right deal, the same response he would make about any top fighter. Shane's publcists went wild with it. But there is no deal, there is no fight. Manny is coming to NYC next week for the Cotto fight and the awards dinner and will talk to his promoter. Pacquiao won't make any decisions until AT LEAST until after next week's fights and more likely until after Mayweather-Marquez. So, again, there is no Pacquiao-Mosley deal. There aren't even real discussions going on.

Dan Rafael: (12:03 PM ET ) And, may I add, that when that story ran on ESPNews the other day it shouldn't have. They jumped the gun without checking out the facts or checking with me.

The problem with Mosley is that his a one punch wonder and that one punch is where he holds all his power from.... from that single one punch and that single strike.

But mosley cannot hurt you on a continueous basis he didnt even KO OSCAR throughout the 2 fights he had with him cause he got no power in his punches.  Pacman  TKO  7th round  GL Lots of guys will pick mosely for this fight. I dont blame them but will Mosley get lucky this time?

I know  what im talking about if Margarito didnt get tired in the late 7th round towards the 8th margarito would of won against mosley and mosely got in trouble cause margarito staggered mosely during the late 7th round .

If mosely fight pacman the only person whos going to get tired is Mosely not pacman. This fight wont happen is because Mosely won't fight pacman at a catch weight of 142 pds.

Think about it before you start yapping !

another classic post...i think what you meant to say was "if margarito didn't get dominated, beat up, tired and KTFO... "

this fight was a one sided battering...margarito didn't even touch mosley, let alone hurt him

That fight wasnt one sided you sure dont know how to watch boxing  carefully. It was only one-sided when Margarito got tired. When Mosely feels pacman punches that mutherfucker going  get a ass beaten.

Maybe the only thing you was watching was Mosely sexy bare chest and legs.

mosley defeated a dehydrated margarito who had to shed a lot of pounds to gain the prescribe weight for the figth.i cannot credit mosley for his ability because he defeated a weak ill prepared margarito.
Mosley will be no match for pacquiao.Speed and power of pacquiao will anihillate mosley.

God trader you have no idea what you are talking about. Mosley beat Margarito from round 1 until he knocked him out. Completely one sided fight. Mosley also beat DLH back when DLH was still a real headline fighter, not the recent form which has been a shell of his former self. Pac and Mosley would be a great fight and Mosley would beat Pac man. This would be his ultimate test. Mosley is always in great shape nevermind his age and has been in the ring with everyone. He doesnt hand pick opponents he can beat like Floyd does. Pac would struggle and certainly not knock out Mosley.

Rich Marotta had Coach Roach on his weekly radio show and he said he has spoken to Shane about this fight and garnered weight concessions from the Moseley camp.

When did Margarito have weight issues? It was never mentioned before the fight or anywhere. The plaster he carries doesn't count as official weight.

Margarito got a classic beat down from a pure technical boxer, even if he loaded his gloves, wouldn't have made a difference he didn't land one decent punch.

I highly doubt pac-man would "destroy" Mosley. Mosley has a great chin, and good speed and always in shape.

Why do you think Pac-man is avoiding Mosley? Mosley is willing to drop to 143  (at the age of 38).. TAKE only 40 % of the purse, and Pac-man does what ... he chases Miguel Cotto..

I love Pac-man, he's a great guy and great for boxing and gives evertything he has in the ring.

Realize his real claim to fame was on TWO fighters Freddie Roach KNEW  Pac-man could easily beat.

Oscar came in so gaunt he looked as if he had full blown aids! Freddie Roach said after the fight .. "We took the fight because I trained Oscar I know he no longer could pull the trigger".

Then Ricky Hatton which the fight was a joke, again he knew Ricky was a BUM... and knew the flaws.

Both those nights ANY B+ Fighter would have beaten Oscar and Hatton.

Mosley is neither of those guys, it's why he is chasing Miguel Cotto to divert the attention that is he RUNNING from Mosley and Floyd (and personally Marquez too).

Freddie Roach is picking "ripe"  fighters for pac-man to beat easily, and after the fight he opens his big trap and says why he took the fight.

Telling people you knew Oscar couldn't pull the trigger anymore, is taking ALL the credit away from Pac-man!

I love pac-man but now that you got the GLORIFIED "P4P" title by the media .. you need to fight the P4P best, not guys who are drunks or who can no longer pull the trigger.

Be careful what you wish for as not many have survived being labeled "P4P". Only Floyd! :)
