I have been seeing an increasing reluctance of books to take boxing action.  I don't know the reasoning, but it is getting ridiculous.

Now, my online book, without notice, changed my account from a $500 "win limit" to a $500 "wager limit."  In other words, I can't risk more than $500 on a wager, regardless of the odds.  So, if I want a 250 fav, I can only win $200.

Anyone else seeing this trend?  It may be because I have hit that book on my last 5 or so fights, but I am wondering if this is more of an industry trend in regards to boxing.

    Thanks.

No, crappy online books hate winners and don't want their action.

I got on a lucky streak with tennis 4 years ago at a crappy book and was black-listed from tennis action.

Get another book.  A book too chicken-shit to take its lumps is going to eventually fuck the player.  Fuck 'em and move on.

Yeah, I have tentatively opened a Matchbook account, but they don't even post a lot of fights.  Slim pickins these days.

Sorry to hear about your book Always! That new rule really sucks and effectively prevents you from serious betting. Hopefully you will find another book to take your wagers. By the way, what book are you speaking of?

Even with the corrupt judges, hometown bias, inept refs, crooked promoters, and networks that are really promoters?

for the most part it is easier than the other sports. Every sport has something that can screw you over somehow..but i feel like boxing is the easiest of them all. Not saying its easy but it is the easiest. Its different from MMA because there are not as much upsets. Many of my bets depend on the style of the fighter and the style of their opponent. Styles makes fights.

Damn G8...if you got them to add all those fights...congrats...that is fantastic.  If it's not too much of a hassle to explain...can you let us know how you got them to add all those fights?

    Thanks man....

I'll have to take a peek.  It's like Christmas Sunday if I am going to see what I think I am.

I will probably today or tomorrow here and in the gaming forum.

In short, sometimes all you gotta do is ask. . .  I'm pleased to see that there's already some people setting lines out there.  I kinda presented the "if you build it, he will come" arguement, and I'm glad to see that it seems to be working.  It's not going to be easy to get a lot of the undercards and overseas fights on there unless they start seeing a bunch of action on the fights that are up.  My next step is getting the WNF and FNF's on there in a timely manner.  One step at a time though, and I think that they'll start seeing a lot of action since they put all those fights up before tonight's fight. . .

Awesome.  Is Forrest really 18-1 over Baldomir?  Seems like someone blew that one.

Thanks for the effort bro.  How do you fund that account?  I've heard wire transfers are the best way.

I think some guy is going a little overboard, I can't imagine it being that high either, hadn't checked to verify, but any idiot willing to lay -1850 on that one, go right ahead.

Knowing how much you bet, your best bet is to bankwire it. I only did the www-card thing just to bet a little baseball and get used to it, and I usually won't have more than 1,000 or 2,000 in an account, because I only bet $25-$100 on average.

Another line that stuck out to me was the Sam Peter line. . .  +410 on Maskaev?  Hadn't checked that yet either, but that might be worth it. . .

Public loves Peter, and I don't really get it.  He is very raw and could have problems with a guy like Maskaev.  At those odds, I might jump as well.

Again, thanks for the effort with Matchbook.

No problem man.  Matchbook is rare in that the more people on there, the better it is for everybody.  It benefits us all

Good job guys with getting matchbook to offer more fights, if they start getting some of the non-major cards up I will have to send some money over there way.

Thats just some jerk off thinking that someone would be stupid enough to take that Forrest play so he would have Baldomir at +1600 or so.  Forrest actually opened up as a pretty sizable dog over at 5dimes who posted odds first, since then odds have reversed and Forrest is s slight fave.

I am going to play Forrest pretty big in that one.  Baldomir got completely outclassed by Mayweather and beat up a shot Gatti at a weight that was too big for Gatti.  Forrest's left shoulder is still a concern but he has had ample time to recover.  Fight with Quartey not a good guage as Quartey is much, much quicker than Baldomir.  Forrest should be able to outbox Baldy, easily, provided he does not have to retire due to the shoulder.

This will be a big play for me if the odds hold.

You are going to be sad to hear how much this line as moved always if you are looking to play Forrest big.  He opened at +250 at 5dimes, and was at + money for about 2 days after it was offered; I got down a unit at +220.  Needless to say Forrest money continued to pour in and he is now the fave at -155.

I'll pound him at -150.  Would've loved to get it +250 though.
