To me Lopez hasn't proven himself yet, his chin is a bit suspect but no way is he just a one handed puncher.
What makes him so dangerous is raw power in both hands.
This is a good test for him, a step up for sure but still not an A class opponent. Marquez is a B- at best.
Question is Lopez better than a B- ?
I think he is. I feel many times him getting knocked down is because he has zero respect for his opponent and tries a bit too hard to get a guy out of there (work the body a bit, set up some punches, no need to go in for the kill as soon as you STUN a guy.
He can box and he needs to learn some patience.
I feel he KO's Rafael Marquez.

Sounds like everyone is on Juan Ma. I put in a medium play on Marquez plus 300---in boxing i try to take dogs i think are live and in this case I do think Rafael Marquez is technically good enough and accurate enough to give the physically superior Lopez some problems. It is 4-1 for a reason---but i'm thinking that Marquez does have a chance at the upset. I think Mtagwa gave Lopez some real problems and if Lopez gets overconfident in this fight Marquez can land some good shots. Clearly Marquez is more talented than Mtagwa. Best of luck to all with your plays. Melv

Jersey don't go by one fight. Mtwaga is a scrappy fighter who came well prepared into that fight.
Marquez is a technical fighter, Mtwaga has a style that can give some guys problems his off balance style his weird punches.
I believe Lopez KO's him but I see a points Handicap now is out at 5 dimes and that seems like a pretty good choice as any close round will go to Lopez who is a rising star and Marquez is past his prime.
-12.5 pts seems like a gift at -290 because a (any ko is a winner for Lopez) and for safety measure if Marquez survives I believe he will easily cover the handicap of -12.5.
Think about it guys -210 (he must get a KO) for a bit more chalk (-290) (seriously we can parlay this with another fight if we want).
Only way a person can lose with the Pts handicap prop is if Lopez gets KO'd .. don't get me wrong Lopez has seen the canvas before against lesser fighters, but I don't know if it's a chin problem or being too aggressive (in attack mode and being countered).
Locking in my play Lopez -12.5 pts -290 (ko,tko,dq is a winner)at 5dimes!
Good luck everyone!

Unless Marquez is completely shot, he's a live dog. He's a better technical boxer then Lopez IMO. Lopez's defense leaves a lot to be desired & he is always open to catching a big shot in the exchanges. Lopez has a speed advantage but if Marquez can time his punches, that edge could be nullified. Either way.... someone should be tasting the canvas before the 12Th round bell is rung. I am going Marquez & Under.

This aint going to play out like the Austin fight where Raf was behind on all cards and got the stoppage on an undefeated guy. The Vazquez fights, all 4 of them, transpired over the last 3 years with Mendoza in the middle. All those wars so close together isn't part of a winning recipe.
