Considering that Vasquez isn't completely recovered from his
nose injury and the fact that Roach is no longer in his corner, it's
very likely that he gets KO'd early. The over is a very risky
play.

Hate to break it to you, but have you ever seen Morales' nose? Or half of the fighters out their with broken or damaged noses? These guys are warriors, so I don't see a broken nose stopping him AGAIN in the rematch. As far as Roach goes, I could list you 20 fights where Roach fighters have lost. It's a low ROUND PROP, with + odds, so I jumped all over it.

Goddamn. Anyone have any info on Vegas brick and mortars that have the TOTAL ROUNDS for this fight at such odds? I don't want to go into the city for nothing.

You might have a point, except for the fact that the nose injury was the reason they stopped the last fight. Given the fact that he hasn't given it time to heal and the fact that he's been switch trainers, Marquez by KO (-170) is a pretty good bet. And it's likely that this happens before 1:30 into the 10th round. That's why you're getting + odds on the over prop. It's not as likely as the under.

I find it hard to validate going against Rafael this time around. Vasquez could land a big shot like the one he knocked Marquez down with last time, but I expect an even better performance by Rafael and a lesser performance by Israel. I am not sure if Vasquez is in the right state of mind coming into this
fight with all the training camp drama that he has gone through. He
leaves Roach for Fortune, leaves Fortune for Goosen, and then leaves
Goosen and goes back to Fortune. Not the ideal training camp. I found that article that came out this week with quotes from Roach about Vazquez slurring his words and not being completely healed from the nose surgery to be a bit disturbing, he has been in some wars and I don't want to see him hurt. Roach is not the type of person to rattle off something like that due to sour grapes, he usually tells it like it is. I played Marquez inside the distance and the under as legs of parlays and may play Marquez inside the distance straight.

I was reading an interview with Vazquez, and he talked about waiting Marquez out so that he could impose his will on him in the later rounds. If that's his plan, then the over isn't that bad of a play. It's just difficult to separate the pre-fight hype from reality.

He was not too much of a warrior; he quit because of that nose injury!
