Maidana will give mayweather his toughest fight on saturday..

He wont beat money may but he'll push him to the edge. 2 years ago honest to God i predicted cotto would give money his toughest fight ever and he did. He bloodied may's nose and hit with good leather all night. May was up to the task though.

this sat, based on may's win in the first fight, i think he'll be overconfident and take the fight a bit too lightly. I think a few of maidanas overhand rights will connect and he'll wobble may. Although i think may will get the decision, it might be a bit controversial as many will think maidana landed better shots. May gets it done but shows chinks in the armor.

If this was a football game, may at -900 is what like a 14.5 pt fave? Maidana covers the 14.5 pts easy but unfortunately boxing is moneyline driven.

Its casual fans like this that Floyd Mayweather manages to sell Pay-Per-Views.

NO this won't be NEARLY as competitive as the first one. Chino is giving up his ONLY advantage... the re-hydrated weight. Weight is leverage and him coming in fight night weighing 165lbs is the ONLY reason he was able to slightly impose his will on Floyd in their first fight.

Its probably going to be a wider Floyd UD  but expect Chino to have weaker pop in his punches and a slightly weaker chin.

i'm a boxing fanatic since 1988, i have only predicted TWICE that may is in for a very tough fight, and that was may of 2012 vs cotto and now in Sept 2014 vs maidana.

IF there is a time, IF, then this is it. it has the hallmarks. first time he's had a rematch in 12 years, and this maidana cat throws punches from all angles that are hard to detect, which is why may got caught several times in their first fight.

again, i am not betting maidana but if this was a football game, maidana covers the spread EASY

This isn't some new match-up or some new fight.

This is merely round 13.....

We saw Floyd take over in the 2nd half. This is just a continuation of that. It's Maidana that has to change who he is or how he hast to fight. Mayweather is the well oiled machine that doesn't need to change a single thing about himself or his gameplan..

do you have a link stating that there is a rehydration clause? 

also, they are using eight ounce gloves instead of the mandated ten ounce gloves(154 title) so i dont know why maidana is going to have weaker pop and a slightly weaker chin

Wow - seeing -300 for Floyd by decision around the downtown area , steep price , I got -190 same bet down here for first fight

what are you talking about?

you mentioned "casual  fans" and insinuating that youre some knowledgeable guy yet there is no basis for your claim that maidana wont have the same weight advantage as the first fight.

the only reason why the fight is for the wbc 154 title is because floyd hasnt defended this belt for a year(six months is the wbc regulation) and the wbc permitted him  to have both the 147 and 154 belts at stake for this fight.

I'm getting tired of all these stipulations for a f*cking fight these fighters and their camps come up sometimes..

All this illustrates is that the fight isn't a fair fight for some reason..

With that being said..If Floyd relented and accepted the 8 oz. gloves, then he could be in big trouble..

Maidana can certainly crack..

At +600, i see some value there.  With 8 oz gloves, all it takes is a clean shot.  Floyd is over confident, the streak could end Sat.....

Yea because Mayweather has a lot of knockouts the last 12 fights or so, right? You're bet is not worth the small piece of paper it was printed on.

I've been betting against Mayweather so I can frame the ticket if/when he does lose.  I don't care how happens, could be Maidana, could be the Fan Man...I just want that little piece of history.

May was clearly not in good shape as he gassed by the 6th round but he still dominated. I missed this one pretty badly. I was surprised Maidana didn't go for many of the hammer right hand over the top shots that he went for in the first fight
