Ridiculous in-fight analysis and post fight rant from the domestic abuser.........
 
mayweather was winning the whole fight while Lampley was sucking golden boy cock......then he continues to suck off golden boy productions and throws a diss at mma fighters.....
 
glad to see max put him in his place......and then nail the fight analysis
 
i vote for max and al micheals or papa......the rest of the in fight team needs to go as well.....and they wonder why they are losing the younger demographic......  
 
 
and the judge who had oscar winning needs to be shot as well

lampley - will boxing become second fiddle to mma?  nothing in mma withing lightyears of boxing skill level
 
max - i disagree with jim....i believe mma fighters are on a similar skill level, thats why its popular.....not ok for a pro judge to score fight for oscar...9-3 pbf

i started a thread about this asshole during the last barrera fight where he had a point deducted for hitting the guy when he was down and lampley was going nuts

Dinosaurs like Lampley and Jim Rome who continue to think MMA is a fad or isn't cutting into boxing PPV money are just completely out of touch with the marketplace.  Laughable, really.  Kellerman knows what's up.

I like Lampley's voice and excitement in terms of calling blow by blow action, but he has long been part of the HBO house fighter cheerleading squad and calls the fight accordingly.  Larry Merchant actually kept him in check a bit and spoke his mind which outweighed how annoying he was sometimes.  I don't know if you guys know but the Taylor fight will be Merchant's last with HBO, his contract was not renewed and he will be replaced by Kellerman.  I don't know who will take over Kellerman's Boxing After Dark spot.

good move for hbo.  kellerman / papa would be a nice combo.  hopefully kellerman will check lampley until he is left doing play by play with no analysis.

Yeah Kellerman and Papa have gelled pretty well together on the Boxing After Dark telecasts, but I don't think you will see Lampley departing ways from World Championship Boxing/PPV any time soon.

i started to think of al michaels when they showed him in the audience.....he would be a good purchase for hbo.....or can costas do boxing?

Don't think Costas would do very well.  He has filled the same role that James Brown did tonight, but I don't think he would fit in ringside.  Neither would Al Michaels in my opinion.

The pound for pound best at play by play and commentary to me is Showtime's Al Bernstein.

That's the Colonel Bob Sheridan, exciting, but he is not my favorite.  Plus, he has always been in Don King's back pocket in his calls it seems.

I like bernstein...knowledgable, but not a big fan of his voice....he could use a red bull before going on air. he still would be a big improvement over lampley guess its slim pickings for for boxing announcers..... marv albert? does kevin harlen know boxing?

Yeah, that is the only negative to Bernstein.  Like the Red Bull reference. He is not the type of guy to have you on the edge of your seat.
