I understand technical boxing. I understand stick and move or get in get point get out... I do. I love watching technically sound boxers about the same as I do brawlers (favorite boxer is Wright). But this clown was RUNNING around the right. He was pathetic. I am glad he won, and I will be really glad to see someone knock the crap out of him. He has a bad habit of while he RUNS he keeps his chin out... someone with more ring generalship will put a hurting on this kid. And everyone else will follow suit. He was pathetic. That fight was why boxing (not saying UFC doesnt have retarded fights) gets the label is gets.
On a side note... way to go Paulie. Calling out Hatton, probably not the best career move.

Oh yeah... I am down for the upcoming fights for sure. This kid just irritated me. He had speed, his punches looked crisp, he seemed to have power, but was definitely scared to get hit. Avoiding getting his is fine... RUNNING is sad. He had reach, he had every intangible needed to beat this guy handedly but choose to run around. It was sad.
And the Malinaggi comes in again Ndou, shows how a BOXER handles a brawler. That was what Dirrell needed to do. He is young... so maybe I will like him when he gets more savvy. From here on out I would be the over for sure =)

Completely agree on Dirrell. His first big fight on a premium network and
he makes it a track meet. I have never seen a fighter hurt his
marketability so much in a winning effort. Lou Dibella had options to
promote Dirrell's next two fights since he beat Dibella's fighter
Stevens and he turned them down not wanting to venture into promoting
track and field.
