Hopkins vs Pascal Dec 18th Montreal

Who wins?

I don't care how "wily" Hopkins is, PHYSICALITY matters in fighting. Hopkins didn't just look old vs Jones, he looked ANCIENT. Hopkins of course will try to fight dirty inside, but it won't be enough for Pascal's speed and power. After the Dawson fight I now have more respect for Pascal's gameplanning as well, although that can probably be attributed to his trainer. I see Pascal fighting in a similar manner to how he did Dawson, but this time with added pressure. The gameplan has to be to make Hopkins look OLD.

I'm a student of the game and the only way I see Hopkins doing ANY damage is by a short counter left hook inside that may stun Pascal because of its unexpectedness. The outcome to me is a foregone conclusion but I'm anxious to see what weakness the boxing genius of Hopkins sees in Pascal to exploit. Hopkins outright DUCKED Dawson for years, but the week after Pascal beat Dawson, Hopkins was calling out Pascal.

I didn't think Hopkins would beat Pavlik, but Pavlik had slow hands and clumsy footwork, plus Pavlik "didn't fight a young man's fight". Pascal has tremondous athleticism and I'm sure he's capable of "fighting a young man's fight".

Pascal on Points will be my play also. Bernard will give him problems as he is awkward for anyone, but getting a decision in Montreal against the younger, quicker, athletic fighter! Not a chance!

Is Dawson retarded he didn't have a mandatory rematch clause in his contract? SO now we get this... Bernard is made for this guy... his slow pace will help Pascal a ton.

Try winning a round in Canada fighting the last minute of every round.. GOOD Luck Bernard.

Dawson had a rematch clause but it wasn't an IMMEDIATE rematch clause. Pascal is allowed one fight before he hops in the ring again to face Dawson.

I am a soon to be proffesional boxer who lives in montreal,so I will be ringside for this one, I see hopkins trying to slow the pace and make it a chess match as always and if pascal fights that fight it gives hopkins a chance, but it won't happen, pascal will come out blazing and although he will miss alot he will out land hopkins 3 to 1. hopkins will land his share of nice counter punches and don't be suprised if he gets one of those off balence type of knockdowns.but in the end pascal is just too young, too athletic and more importanly too hungry for the old man and although I am rooting for hopkins time eventually catches up with everyone. pascal by un. dec.         p.s. a prime hopkins destorys pascal

Bernard Hopkins is the greatest fight of all time.

This guys early and prime fights should be shown to all young fighters who think one day they may be champion. The guy has it all, when it comes to offence,defence,preparation,chin,stamina,wits,charactor,gameplan and not blowing his money. To see how great this guy is and was put in Hopkins vs Echols #1. I still think his KO over Lipsey was if not the greatest reaction KO combination I have ever seen.Did he ever really lose a fight ,other then R.Jones #1?

I disagree on Hopkins legacy. His best wins were against blown up welterweights. Sorry man, but Echols is a bum. He's 1-10-3 [win/loss/draw] in his last 14 fights. Dude just lost to Joey Spina who is like a nobody.

O' yeah...Pascal is going to win this, 116-112 minimum. I wouldn't be surprised to see a 117 or a 118 in there somewhere.

Was using the Echols fight to show Hopkins skill set at the time.

Echols was on Steriods and cocaine. thats why he can't win anymore due to abuse.
