Herman Ngoudjo v Julio Diaz

Has anyone seen a line on this fight yet?  5dimes has it listed, but hasn't put a line yet.  I was just checking out Graham Houston's preview, and he lists the odds at -120/+100.  That can't be anywhere near right, can it?  I've been looking forward to betting Ngoudjo in this fight, and if his odds are anything less than -200, I'll be pleasantly surprised. 

I just saw a line on this fight:  Diaz -125/Ngoudjo -105. 

 

WTF am I missing?  Someone tell me why Diaz should be favored in this fight.  I'm confused.

I just think Diaz is shot.  Ngoudjo is stronger and should be able to dictate the way the fight goes.  His loss to Urango was weird and a little troubling, but I thought he beat Castillo and he was very competitive with Malinaggi despite a big speed disadvantage.  They're both the same age, but Diaz has been in some tough fights (he took a beating from Juan Diaz) and he's been knocked cold a few times.  Watch Pollo KO him at the 1:10 mark of round 1.  This fight was a while ago, but it's still telling to me.  Pollo couldn't crack an egg, and he put The Kid to sleep:

I'm not betting this fight, but I think Ngoudjo will win
He doesn't punch hard, but he can box
and as Danno said, Julio Diaz is a shot fighter

The Greek has Ngoudjo at -150.  That's more of what I was expecting.  Still no line at 5dimes. 

 

I saw this at Sportsbook.  Just checked back there, and it's now -140 for Ngoudjo.  As soon as the line gets posted at 5dimes, I'm betting it. 

I'm locked in for 3 units on Ngoudjo at -160.  I don't bet with Sportsbook (just check lines there), but -105 was a steal yesterday for anyone who got it.

Good luck Danno, Ngoudjo has a 3 inch reach advantage and seems to be a division heavier than Diaz.

They both have fought good opposition but Diaz got floored and out boxed in his fights when he stepped up.

Ndougjo took Randall Bailey's big right hand(that says a lot), and fought almost every above his level to either a tough decision win or tough decision loss.


I like this pick let's hope Ndougjo can get a decent shake in Vegas :)

Disgraceful.  Ngoudjo made no effort to alter his gameplan in that fight.  Diaz had him figured out by the fourth round.  His right hand came the same way every time, and Diaz could see it coming from a mile away.  Terrible job by me.  Mac, hopefully we get it back with Mitchell today.  And I'm playing the over in the Khan fight.

No worries Danno we all get some wrong. Your a great capper one loss doesnt change that.

Yeah lets hope Mitchell does the business tonight. I don't think for one second it will be easy. He needs to avoid a tear up early and NOT get caught cold. Katsidis can hit and he retains his power so he is a dangerous opponent. But Mitchell IMO has been primed for this moment. It's in the East end of London. This is his time to shine. I think he will take it.

Mack I would trust you on the Mitchell fight but my book doesnt offer it.

 I am not too distressed over the fight last night because I bet only half a unit on it. However I did bet the danny Williams fight as yall said to. That one I am a little nervous about because I had to lay 2 units to win .75. I dont usually do that.

Gold, Chisora should be a good thing. I can't see how he can mess this up but bigger upsets have happened. All you can do is follow your gut

Ngoudjo suffered a broken jaw and orbital bone in this fight.  I think it happened at the end of the fight, so I'm not sure it really affected the outcome too much. This is the second broken face he's suffered.  Urango got him the first time.
