Just have a hunch that Cloud will stand in front of Johnson too long & eventually get tagged. Johnson is head & shoulders the smartest boxer that Cloud has fought up to now. Cloud couldn't get rid of Woods in his last bout & I think Johnson is considerably a tougher opponent. Johnson always comes to fight & I think you can excuse his poor effort against Dawson (who is in a class of his own) & he showed lots of grit in ko-ing Mack last time out. I would have liked him even more tonight if Cloud hadn't gotten substantial rounds under his belt in his last few fights. A sure recipee for disaster is to ko a lot of bums & then fight a crafty veteran without going quality rounds with quality opponents. But Clouds inactivity could come back to haunt him tonight. I'll take my chances at very generous odds at what I think should be a barn burner all the way.

Good luck Red I'm on Johnson also, originally was going to do the points handicap but I'm going to get greedy here. Cloud hasn't proven anything to me yet Johnson has.

I sure do hope it's a barn burner I would rather Cloud get exposed tonight don't like him inside the ring or outside hopefully he will be back fighting Tomato cans on ESPN after this.

Good luck again to you and everyone else!

I think we have great value on this wager ..regardless of the outcome.

Hey Rich... When was the last time we were both on the same side?

Back in the Nixon administration :)

I believe we've been on the same side as to liking a fighter but we go different ways with props.

We've been on different sides many times... but you do a great write up on why you like the guy and I do the same as does Danno and the other regulars on here.

It's what makes the forum good can be on opposite sides and still respect the other person's point of view.

I just noticed Johnson gained over 10 percent of his bodyweighyt after the weigh-in. Cloud's gonna make him pay. You can't be irresponsible with weight after the age of 32. U just can't.

Congrats Red I had the fight closer but the spread covered :>

I think we all know Glen Johnson 4-5 years ago would have taken this kid to school.

We saw a Glen Johnson who didn't resemble the Glen Johnson of old but he still gave it his all.

Congrats to those who had the pts handicap :)

Who the F*%K is training Tavoris Cloud? That kid needs seasoning ASAP. If only Tavoris couldv'e watched the youtube highlights of Diaz vs Katsidis. THAT is how you handle a come forward fighter. It's called sidestepping, turning, changing angles etc..  I won money on the fight but I was disgusted at how bad BOTH fighters looked. Johnson had the age/weight struggle excuse but Cloud looked like an "in-his-prime-piece-of-shit". Cloud has NO CHANCE vs Pascal or Dawson. He couldn't even handle Johnson'e jab.

Congrats on the win, but I made a post talking about the JAB you can double it up all night on Cloud.

Cloud is easily backed up, telegraphs punches, Glen gave it his all.. I knew the risk of taking him at 41 he didn't have the stamina in the Yusef Mack fight.

IF this was Glen Johnson who had the stamina he used to, he would of KO'd Cloud.

Cloud caught him with a temple shot. He caught Cloud on the CHIn and HURT him to the body.

Too bad Johnson is a bit long in the tooth but I think he showed us what Cloud is made of.

Pascal has underrated boxing skills. I can envision him sticking and moving all night on Cloud. If Clinton Woods landed crisp counters on Cloud, Pascal can too - only Pascal's will have more sting. Plus I like how Pascal gets stronger when he gets hurt. I'd bet BIG on Pascal if and when he fights Cloud.

Well Red's final scorecard matched Lettermans. 114-114===Draw. But I couldn't complain if the judges saw it by 1 or 2 points for Cloud. Judging Boxing is very subjective. Having said that...There is no bigger Crook in the game then Don King. He shamelessly smooches the Judges up before the fight through his many proxies. You can never get a fair shake fighting a Don king fighter when he is involved in any way with the promotion. Just look at fight # 2. Alexander winning that by 4 points on each scorecard was a bad joke.

Johnson looked a little out of shape but made up for it with extreme boxing intelligence. His Jab was a thing of beauty to watch as it froze Cloud's attack, throwing off his offensive timing. The main problem Johnson had was that as the fight progressed, he lost substantial snap on his shots. They became mostly arm punches that were not able to really hurt his opponent (although they did rack up points). Cloud needs a lot of seasoning as he fought Johnson's fight by not utilizing his superior hand & foot speed. He was right there to be hit most of the night. He is very lucky Johnson had a little bit of an off night or he probably would have been KOed some time during the middle rounds. If they fight again & Johnson can come in to the rematch in top shape, (not easy to do at his age) I suspect Johnson wins by KO. Anyhow It was a barn burner & I'll gladly accept a 3 Unit win on a nearly 3-1 underdog with the handicap. Congratulations to all who cashed & for those that didn't....there's always the next fight.

Johnson will never get a rematch, what was amazing was Johnson was able to easily slip punches using head movement, that's how badly Cloud telegraphs his punches.

Johnson  was fighting on pure will and experience after round 5, he did the best he could by using the jab which Cloud has no answer for.

Johnson needs a fight that will pay a good chunk of change maybe a rematch with  Hopkins? Roy Jones even.. yes sucks for us fans especially Roy Jones, but the man has fought everyone on their back yard all these years  throw him a BONE :)

Weird how Letterman did an okay job of scoring the first fight... but the second fight I mean Keller man and Poppa were trying their hardest not to argue with him.. I mean everyone could see Alexander's punches were being blocked or missing.

Is it something with HBO that they are not allowed to talk bad about a fighter even though Poppa and Keller man were itching to.

Last week Pirog destroyed Jacobs and they interview Jacobs and make excuses for his loss.

HBO needs to let the commentators commentate because only so much B.S we wanted shoved down our throats before during and after a fight.

Showtime let's Jim Gray do his awesome interviews.. let Keller man do the same.

I suspect Lederman was considering the Don King factor after seeing how the 1st fight was scored, when judging fight #2.
