Friday Night Fights

Roman Karmazin vs. Dionisio Miranda for the IBF #1 Middleweight Rating.  Could be a nice little match for the first Friday Night Fights of 2010.  Was curious what you fellas thought the lines might be on this one, or if anyone has seen any?

Finally, something to talk about other than Floyd and Manny nonsense.  I haven't seen a line yet, but I think Karmazin will be a big favorite.  Maybe -400.  It would be tough for me to lay that kind of juice on him though.  Getting dropped by the current version of Antwun Echols does not instill confidence in me (I didn't see that fight, only read about it, so maybe  it wasn't as bad as  it seems,  but I think it was).

Not sure if you're aware, but this fight was pushed back until Feb. 20.  Some books (including 5dimes) still have it listed for Jan. 16, but the fight has been postponed.

5dimes has Karmazin at -330. 

Karmazin at -330ish means Miranda (by TKO?) or no Bet.

I might make a small play on  the under 8.5 at +125.  Otherwise, no bet for me. 

Thanks guys, I have not seen either one of these fighters. I am leary of laying 330 on a 37 year old fighter.

Hey man.

As one of the few posters in the Boxing forum who I respect, you admit that you have never seen either fighter fight.  Well, I can honestly tell you I have seen EVERY televised fight they have been in.  If you are choosing not to coatail me simply based on age and lack of height, you may want to rethink putting down a SMALL wager.  I don't know you, but I have seen Karmazin spar recently and he moves very well and as long as he avoids Miranda's right, he takes this.  This isn't Edison Miranda, who Karmazin was in the gym with.

EricLinny, why did Karmazin struggle with Echols?  I'm asking this seriously.  Echols is totally shot.  Totally.  It's tragic. 

 

And I'm not playing  this fight.  I'll just watch live boxing for the first  time  in a while and  enjoy.

No disrespect intended Eric, I just wanted to place something small so I had some interest. Would have to pony up too much on such a big favorite. I think you might have gotten lucky though as I thought Roman was on his way out early in the 9th.

Oh well, I had parlayed the under with the Jets so now if the second part winssssssssss as it usually does on a losing bet . It would be worth losing the first part.
