Arum is full of shit as well but I find it hard to believe Floyd would ask for $100 million.

That would make him look as more of a coward than he already is.

To be completely honest, that figure isn't all that out of line. The fight would generate more than enough money to compensate both fighters in that range.

Then this find would need to generate $200 million because Pac will want the same as well.

did some research and this is what I have found...

Mayweather demanded a $100 million deal, from King, but that was for a 3 fight deal, that included Pacquiao.

It wasn't a $100 million demand just for Pacquiao! Pacquiao was one of three opponents, for that fee.

You know, Mayweather has actually posted the offer on his Twitter feed. It's no secret.

As usual, Bob has just spun it, and misled, to try and promote his fight.

To be fair, he is a promoter, but I wish fans would stop buying into this sort of stuff.

    Can I clarify:

Mayweather asked for $100 million from King to sign for him. As in, a 3 fight deal. It wasn't JUST to fight Pacquiao

Three fights that would make that a bargain:

    1. Pacquiao
    2. Martinez
    3. Bradley/Alexander/Guerrero

Seal the legacy, bank the cash.

floyd will be needing cash sooner rather than later one would assume and will do what most all fighters do- go back to the ring for the payday

In fact, if Mayweather OR Pacquiao finished their careers with the above path, would their be any doubt of their place among the greatest of all time?

In my opinion, Mayweather is no longer a fighter worthy of discussion.  If he steps in the ring in 2011, it'll be shocking to me.

I agree until Floyd puts on a pair of gloves and enters the the ring, there's nothing to discuss.

100 million for a 3 fight deal is fair considering Manny is included in that deal.

While I think Floyd is an amazing fighter and all he isn't worth the discussion, by the time he enters the ring he will need a "tune up" fight... hence the 3 fight deal.

Until then let's talk about ACTIVE FIGHTERS :) People actually lacing up the gloves!

Floyd is losing 100g a night at the M Casino in Vegas
Betting NBA games like a degen
He needs some cash to cover his astronomical gambling debt
He is acting for the moon and the stars cause he needs it

Spadafora... my god if he fights him he isn't even considered in the top 10 anymore, right now he and pacman are 1-2 (any way you see fit).

If he signs to fight Spadafora, means he hit an all time low and likely headed to prison.

You couldn't pick a worse opponent than Spadafora. Floyd needs to remember people remember what you've done lately more than "I was so great".

If he takes this fight his image in the BOXING world is ruined, clearly his public image is pretty much toast, but you can always redeem yourself in the ring.. fighting Spadafora would be the final nail in the coffin.

This comes from a Floyd Fan (Floyd inside the ring).

I never root for the books, but I hope Mayweather starts losing some of those large bets hes placing at the sportsbooks so this fight may actually happen.

maybe I am a little biased here because spadafora is my fav. current fighter, but if floyd has one fight before he kicks pacquiao's ass I think it would be a smart thing to do, I actually think spadafora vs floyd would be much more competitive than people think, floyd will obviously win, but remember that paul and floyd sparred back in 2000 or 2001 and spadafora kicked his ass, It's true that spadafora was 1 week away from a championship fight and floyd was out of shape and just in the gym, with no fight on the slate, but still anytime a fighter steps into the ring with another champion, he is there too win, peroid, styles make fights and paul has a style too give floyd some problems, floyd wins it, but it's not a blowout like people think......and the spadafora vs mayweather sparring session is on youtube..for those interested.
