Yes Abner did look good in this fight and I agree that Ponce was getting tagged pretty good. But Ponce still had a lot left in the tank and still was very dangerous because he is a puncher. I believe that you need to give a champion some room to fight his way through moments like those and force the challenger to take the title. In this case I feel that the ref not only wronged Ponce but Abner as well since this was an early stop.I disagree. I thought it was a perfect stop. It was not just that moment but the whole fight.
He had taken a lot of punishment and for today, was outclassed.
