Or do some sites have rules that if the fight is stopped prior to a normal TKO/KO/DQ total bets are void?

Over is a loser anyway you slice it, only way someone  won tonight if they had the UNDER or Pascal by decision or pts handicap.

TKO/ko/DQ is a loser also as the fight didn't end that way.

    Hope this helps.

which is total bullshit. the fight was clearly going to go the distance.

a headbutt stoppage causes the under to hit? that doesn't even make any sense whatsoever.

no one in their right mind would EVER bet the fight to go the distance, then.

You have to factor in the possibility of a cut or head butt when betting the over

Listen it's not Canada or anyone else, if it happens after 4 rounds are complete it goes to the score cards.

In California I believe it's the 3rd round (Ask Kermit Leap Frog Cintron).

It's why it's called betting and we always discuss if a guy cuts easily.. and such. (We must take that into consideration).

This one was nasty, sadly I think Dawson would have finished him.

I believe this fight woke Dawson up and they will rematch and people will finally maybe want to watch Dawson.

in no way am i arguing that the over should be a winner, though it obviously was going to be.

my point is its ludicrious to call the under the winner. the fight didn't end due to someone winning it prior to a decision, it ended bc of a headbutt.

no one would should ever bet a boxing match to go the distance, ever, because what do you know, headbutt in the 5th round causes a cut in a fight where no one is even close to going down, you lose. you run that risk in every single "distance" bet? that's absurd. to make this reasonable there should be an exception for fights stopped to abnormal events.

if the power goes out in the building, or an earthquake or terrorist attack, is that a winner for the under too?

fuck that noise, i will never bet an over again. there's absolutely no promise that this couldn't happen in any fight at any time, no matter how pedestrian the punching is going.

Snot don't let one loss ruin the way you cap/wager.

Yes it sucks to lose because of a head butt .. this one was nasty most guys can continue when there is a clash of heads, but this one was gushing.

Good luck on your future wagers, join the discussion next time on the next upcoming fights.. always good discussion here.

nope, i'm never betting a total again in boxing. that is just absurd that an incidental headbutt can cost the total. the risk is simply too much to take.

if i learned the hard way out of ignorance, so be it. but you are a fucking idiot if you knew this and ever bet an over in a boxing match. i sure as hell never will. the rule is retarded.

nope, i'm never betting a total again in boxing. that is just absurd that an incidental headbutt can cost the total. the risk is simply too much to take.

if i learned the hard way out of ignorance, so be it. but you are a fucking idiot if you knew this and ever bet an over in a boxing match. i sure as hell never will. the rule is retarded.

Don't take it to heart. Minor hiccup. I feel the same way about unders. Unless its crystal clear obvious I may never ever bet another under again in this life. Overs are still good in my book.

as rare as these instances are, you have a systematic advantage in taking the under because you might win this way. what advantage is there in the over? besides the ref forcing someone to fight like happened in that other recent fight, was it andre ward? that was pretty damn lol.

fuck this, so stupid to lose an over in a fight where there isnt even a knockdown or disqualification. i mean wtf

I was big into round totals at one point. Once you figure out what side you're on, you can figure out why they set the total that way. I avoid it for the most part, too damn tough. Don't let it stop you from betting a rock solid total though, just buckle up and nail it.

go ahead and bet the under no matter what. That's stupid as shit. This is like saying I will never bet an under in a baseball game again because they hit a grand slam in the 9th that put it over by 1 and killed me. Shit happens, if you can't take bad losses then stop gambling.

Because picking unders is like picking a fighter to win by ko which is usually a decent + number. Sometimes its obvious, most times its not imo. I'm like 10% at unders and 80% at picking overs. Maybe its just me.

Who's the clown talking about baseball?

you ever hear of a comparison fuckface? The point was that you must have missed is that one match or game has nothing to do with the other. Just because this one went under because of a freak  event, doesn't mean you write off betting a certain way because of a freak event. Sorry do you need me to dumb it down anymore Corky? Or would you prefer I type it in street slang since you watch The Wire?

I never said you would never bet an under again. I was using it as an example. But you did say you would never bet an over again. I guess the Boxing forum is full of dumbshits as you guys are about as smart as a 30 year fighter that's taken too many headshots.

Yeah man I'm dumb. Thats why my posts here get copy/pasted into gambling sites, under another mans name, as an article ala plagiarism. I musn't be on to something if "writers" are stealing my shit and passing them off as their own.

Comparing baseball and boxing is comparing apple/oranges. You can type it however you see fit. I have a high level of education, which so happens to be in language. I'm not some dumb street kid.

Not so sure your in the right forum pal.

Maybe try talking to people in a civil tone and not chastising them as you see fit. Now scram kid, your bothering the board. Next time you decide to drop into the belly of the beast, maybe bring your shine box...you know...like the old days.
