I'm a few rounds into watching Pirog.Melis, which was his last fight. I was reading that many people are picking Pirog and heard a lot of praise. But I'm watching this fight and I'm like where is all the hype coming from?

I don't think Jacobs is going to have much of a problem with his guy. Poor defense, lazy jab, slaps. Dmitry does have nice angles on uppercuts, sneaky ones, looks at his best on the inside...his best punches for sure. But besides that can't see him getting a win tonight.

I do have copies of the Toygonbaev and Mitchell fights. I'm going to watch them after this. Doubt I'll see anything else.

My end has Jacobs at -170. I'm not a fan of underdogs and close to even money odds, but I might make an exception and go with Jacobs.

I love Pirog BECAUSE he seems to slap with some of his punches. What he's really doing is setting u up for his big shots like his beautiful left hook to the liver. The noodle punches are just something to occupy the oppenents brain. Trust me the dudes got skillz.

Pirog looks GREAT....against STIFFS!

Now he's fighting a guy, on the road, who is both fast AND strong.

Alot of variables against Pirog here.

Jacobs blows him out by clear UD although Jacobs could stop him late.

Jacobs looked like shit tonight. He showed Pirog too much respect and was on his way to getting tired with all that nervous energy. Pirog showed he's the real deal.
