Keys: Bob Arum has both fighters under contract. It would be hard to believe Arum would risk Pacquiao's star power to build up 32 year old David Diaz (an unknown to the general public). Diaz has one loss, but that was an early stoppage. His fight with Morales shows that he couldn't dominate a torn up fighter, where as Pacquiao walked through him in fights II & III (which physically finished Morales). Also, Pacquiao has the speed advantage. The only issue I see with Pacquiao is he is fighting against another south paw, the last fight he had against a south paw was in 2004 against Fahsan 3K Battery (Pacquiao won TKO 4th RND). If Diaz is in his very best shape, Pacquiao is not recovered from his last fight and is not is good shape, and is also not motivated, Diaz has a slim chance of an upset. If this goes to the scorecards, Arum's prize star might get the nod in a close fight.
