As we can see, odds are around -270 that Mayweather wins a decision, with the over/under about -320 favoring over 11 and a half rounds.  BUT...one of my youtube viewers has stated that Carlos Slim, listed by Forbes as the richest man in the world since 2010, has sponsored Canelo through a monopoly called Telmex.
This engenders the question, can Canelo lose a decision, and does it make any sense for anyone to lay any more money down on Floyd?
If not, are we to expect a late odds surge on Canelo which would drastically alter the line?

    Carlos Slim...  CARLOS!!
Of course hes picking Canelo, hes a Mexican from Mexico..
I wouldnt put any stock into this.. Canelo will be a skeleton at the weigh in.. Hes waaay too freakin slow to be a threat.. And the clincher is he has a mediocre jab.. You cant be slow AND not have a jab and beat floyd.. Good luck

Floyd is actually -165 to win a decision and -265 to win outright.
Im goin to Vegas that weekend and dropping large sums on Floyd
Then a lil change on canelo to hedge a bit.. YOU NEVER KNOW

i know more about boxing my left hand than this billionaire knows in his whole body,

what he's saying does not mean garbage,

i want canelo to win as much as the next guy but this is a horrible matchup for him,

floyd will not lose on the cards. you can bank on that.

im headed out wed before, staying downtown at nugget and will be looking for the best Floyd number from the time I hit the ground, kind of like your idea for a small hedge play -

I don't get it. Why hedge?
Why not just drop less on Floyd and call it a hedge? What am I missing?

The hedge cuts your losses. Take a big odds hedge for a small amount in case your main bets loses. If you had a 5 team parlay in football and had 4 wins and needed one more to hit 2,000 would it be wise to bet 500 on the other team to get a small win at least either way? Its up to the person and how he views things. Betting Floyd by decision as your main bet and a small hedge on Canelo by ko is not that far fetched.....

Thing is i think Canelo can win a decision..
I dont think he will beat floyd up, but if he stays aggressive and have Floyd on the defensive most of the fight he has a chance..

I think this is the best fighter Floyd has fought in a loooong time..
And he made the fight a catchweight meaning he is a tad bit concerned.. He didnt have a catchweight vs cotto

And a shot Cotto gave Floyd everything he could handle.. Canelo is much better than Cotto these days..

My Concerns for canelo is his stamina and being a slow starter. I definitely think canelo can wins rounds without doing much,

Think Hopkjns vs Taylor, taylor really didnt do sh1t butnhe won because he was aggressive

I dont think he will beat floyd up, but if he stays aggressive and have Floyd on the defensive most of the fight he has a chance..

In order for Canelo to stay aggressive, he would first need to be aggressive, and he really isn't.

Cotto didn't "give Floyd all he could handle".  He landed some jabs.  That's it.  The fight wasn't close.

LMAO that cotto only landed jabs.  watch the fight 3 full times like i have and tell me that cotto only landed jabs.  cotto touched may with more hard punches than he has tasted maybe ever.

i do agree that canelo will not outpoint floyd.

About time Floyd takes on a challenge... Canelo wins this one by decision, if Floyd decides to brawl with this kid he will lose by KO.

Canelo by decision that would mean he would have to beat Floyd on the cards

did you see the canelo/trout scorecards? did you see the trout/canelo compubox punchstats?

canelo makes it to the final bell and is only outlanded by 80 punches he could get the robbery.

look at delahoya/mayweather compubox(floyd oultalnded dlh by 85 punches) and dlh lost by split decision.

some people post here and you can immediatley tell they have very limited experience betting boxing

Ya, your idea to hedge your single bet is stupid

im actually on floyd as well.

i was just trying to point out that canelo winning by decision is not that far-fetched and one must be prepared for a possible robbery if the fihgt goes to the cards.

if the judges were forced to judge the fight strictly by punchstats then floyd will win.

with that in mind, austin trout wuoldve won as well.

I hear you Q... I am prepared to be robbed most definately. After that BS Pacman Bradley decision, if they rob Floyd I wont be surprised. Its all about $ and they will break records with a Mayweather Canelo 2. At the end of the day from the tape I've seen on Canelo, he's a good fighter but he's too flat footed and doesnt move his head like Floyd. Not as agile. I think Floyd schools Canelo and wins by decision. GL

Floyd overcomes a "possibly furious" start from Canelo (which does justify a hedge on an early+canelo+ko----strictly for the payout on the flipside of a Floyd -270 to win larger wager). But as spoken earlier, Floyd has cashed for me time and time again, and Ive bet chunks w/ confidence........Now I'm hearing chatter of this kid having to cut weight (he came in right at the catchweight max......hmmmm), boxing "sharps" ears perk up at those words regardless,,,,,,and against an always sharp Floyd???? Wow, do I love the Floyd -270. and I'll lay the extra and stay away from the "decision" wager, as Im worried this kid fades fast after about 8 rounds, and possibly gets KO'd by Floyd if he doesnt stay moving. Because I assure you, Floyd's compubox stats will spike from 9-12, question is, how will the kid handle it??? He takes the loss regardless, either standing by the ref, or on his back. I'll take the easy road and lay the 270. Good luck All !
