Bernard Hopkins vs. Tavoris Cloud...Max Bet

I always said if these two meet that it would be a complete mismatch. I hoped it would have happened sooner than later. If Hopkins did not get completely "old" overnight he should school Cloud. I think we will see in the first 3 rounds what kind of fight it will be.

Cloud is a exciting fighter that is always coming forward however he is very limited. I thought he got schooled by Campillo and should ahve lost but was awarded the dubious decision.

The thing about Hopkins is that he knows who he can beat even if the doubters say he can't. Guys like Pavlik, Tarver were suppose to destroy Hopkins but he "exposed" them as one trick ponies. He will do the same to Cloud.

The only thing I'm worried about is Hopkins coming out tentative like he did against Jermain Taylor and giving up the first few rounds.

That being said, I'm very confident and am taking Hopkins.

I as well am on hopkins as clouds footspeed is too slow, bernard will be able to dictate the pace of this one and their is really nothing cloud can do, bernard will pick his shots and box,box,box, this will be a snooze fest in terms of action, but for those who love smart boxing they will enjoy,  if cloud was smart he would let bernard land 2 shots so he could get in one as I do not beive that hopkins can take it on the chin any longer, I think cloud will figure this out later on in the fight, but by then it will be too late( although he should already know this, as if I do so should he) I put 5 units on bernard, but I am worried about the chin of the old man.

yes I agree, take a look at what hopkins did vs Calzaghe.  lowered his punch output significantly.  now cloud is not on calzaghe level.  i do think that joe-hopkins fight was very close but cloud is nowhere near joe.  joe was a VERY good fighter.  


hopkins backers like myself need to worry about a close decision.

he's no ordinary 48 year old that being said it's not a lock or anything...

he was old vs Tarver, Pavlik, and Pascal..yet he beat all 3.

The fact that Hopkins is making more than Cloud even though Cloud is champion tells me that Goldenboy is the lead promoter. Lets not also forget that the fight is in Barclays center where Goldenboy has an exclusive deal.
There is always the chance that stupid judges will favor the come-forward aggressor, but I don't think the judges will be actively trying to rob B-Hop. 
By the way the odds are moving, people are putting their money on Cloud but I'm favoring the old man. My budget is tight though so I'm only betting what I'm willing to lose.

Just wanna thank you guys even Jerseyboy, wasn't gonna bet, i consider boxing my favorite sport but gotta admit didn't know much about Cloud but wanted to bet on B-Hop, took a quick look on Covers forum 20 mins before the fight, read your analysis, and seemed like the unanimous pick was B-Hop,
