Arreola vs. Minto

Under 7.5 @ -145 looks VERY attractive. 

Two bangers looking to make a statement and doubtfully will be in there to box.  I expect a slugfest with Arreola eventually catching Minto around 4th or 5th round. 

Arreola's 5 inch height advantage and 5 inch reach advantage will not make this look anything like the fight with Klitschko, where he was the much smaller guy.

This one seems almost too good to be true.  I expect Arreola to make a big statement with a brutal KO.

Thoughts please?  

 

Curious on Arreola's weight.. and Minto's..  I tend to agree as Minto prob doesn't hit hard enought to really discourage Cristobal.  

Arreola is GIGANTIC.  263.  He just doesn't care. 

Minto and Yankello plan to use their speed advantage and make Chris chase Minto around. Minto has never been stopped. He has been hurt and knocked down but has loads of heart and a decent chin.

I expect Minto to do VERY well if he can make it through the first three rounds.

  Looking at Minto's gut at the weigh-in, I find the speed advantage a bit funny-  Minto can't run for too long- should be fun..  

You was looking at the wrong "gut." Arreola is the most over rated, under motivated heavyweight of the past decade. Fun to watch, but he's very raw. A fringe contender at BEST.

I was thinking about the Under as well. He did weigh in fat with tits, but I think he took this fight to make a statement and will press the issue early. This is a pivotal fight for Chris and they picked a guy for him to look good against who has a semi-recognizable name.

Travis Walker had Arreola down and hurt bad - but never pushed the issue. Minto is 100x better than Walker. That comparison is apples to oranges.

Jesse sticks around for a bit IMO. The over seems solid.

I'll take Arreola in an eating contest any day of the week.

are you fucking crazy? those were two exciting fights. arreola was getting his ass kicked and scored a ko.

Mcnulty he posted that BEFORE the fight started.

I highly doubt he would say williams/martinez was boring... you would have to be blind as it was easily fight of the year... beats out my previous which was Diaz Marquez.

Arreola is a disgrace to boxing..with his weight in the recorded pre-fight he said he learned his lesson he was over weight and didn't train right... (excuses excuses).

I love how HBO ripped him on it, he doesn't taken fighting seriously.

Brian Minto for being a former football player did well for himself, I don't even believe he is a true heavy weight he looks more like a cruiser weight.

If a legit heavyweight hit Arreola the way Minto did he would have been KO'd, but we do know why Minto was put there... but he has heart and I respect him for that.

I had Williams 115-113 on my score card.. was a scary first 4 rounds.. it was a VERY good fight, instant classic in my eyes.

I doubt we'll see a rematch. Goosen has bigger plans I think.
