Are American MMA fighters as good as their Pride counterparts

Before Pride 33 I was a firm believer the the talent pool in the US couldn't compare to the impressive line-up of fighters in Pride. But after the latest Pride fights I have to say that I have renewed faith in the Americans. One only needs to look at the most recent fight between Wandy and Dan Henderson. Some may argue that Wanderlei is on a decline, going 4-4 in his last 8 fights, but I just thing that he was outmatched and Dan proved himself to be the better fighter. Check out the fight here.

I think some can compete and some cant. Arlovski was the big news and the Silva beat him. I dont think either of them would beat Fedor but with Cro Cop in the UFC we might get a good gauge. I think Lidell and Hughes could compete within their weight class and be successful.
