I like John Ruiz here...I just think he is more polished. Valuev is 7'0, which may give him a decided reach advantage, but I just viewd a current pic of him, and he look out of shape. Ruiz looks much more fit. Ruiz has fought MUCH tougher competition, and this is also a revenge match for Ruiz, who lost a controversial close, but MD 3 years ago. A very good fighter they both have in common, Chagaev, Ruiz lost by split decision, Valuev lost by MD. I think getting +2.85 is just ridiculous here, and I for one am all over this. GL!

The only other name I recognize besides Ruiz on Valuev's resume( besides Chagaev for both fighters) is Etienne. Ruiz on the other hand: Roy Jones Jr, Hasim Raham, Kirk Johnson, Evander Holyfield (2X beating him once) Andres Golata, Tony Tucker, David Tua, James Tony. As I stated above the first was scored:referee: Stanley Christodoulou | judge: Derek Milham 114-116 | judge: Francisco Martinez 114-114 | judge: Hector Hernandez 113-116 ~ Very close. Ruiz will have a better idea how to fight Valuev the 2nd time around. ~ WBA heavyweight title ~
