With conference play beginning, now is a good time to look ahead at the futures odds for the men's college basketball national championship this spring. Duke is still riding their pair of fantastic freshmen to the best odds in the nation but other teams are making a splash too.
The Tennessee Volunteers have been an outstanding 12-1 this season (with their lone loss coming to a very tough Kansas team in overtime) and have seen their odds improve from 40/1 at the beginning of the season to 15/1 currently. Iowa State began the year with 200/1 odds and now at 30/1 have better odds than the defending national champion Villanova Wildcats.
On the other side of things, the Oregon Ducks started the season off with promising odds of 20/1 but after a disappointing start to the year and the loss of their own sensational freshman Bol Bol they currently sit at 500/1.**video
