Rays starter Aaron Civale had a 5.36 ERA in 10 starts with the Rays last year and has a 5.88 ERA through eight starts this season. He's been even worse lately, posting a 9.82 ERA with a .333 OBA in his last four starts despite a pair of those outings coming against the White Sox horrendous offense. Boston starter Nick Pivetta has a 4.00 ERA and 1.12 WHIP in 157 2/3 innings since the start of last season. While he's coming off a rough outing that was following a stint on the IL so he should have shaken the rust off. The Red Sox also have the better bullpen and the better lineup here with the Rays ranking dead-last in the majors in barrel rate and 28th in hard hit rate.
