Natural...have agreed with this point, do agree with this point, and (good/bad) still agree with this point. HOWEVER I'm hesitant to be so confident. The proof Michigan instilled in me was enough for me to refrain. I believe Florida to be THE FASTEST team in the SEC, and Ohio St to be that in the Big 10. So, how do you make the argument that speed kills, when it failed miserably against the power game of Michigan. I still like LSU, I just think too much is being placed on this "speed" that seems a little closer than people want to believe.

I'm a little bias toward the Big 12; however:
Last Night PROVES that the Big 12 is a superior conference! I hate hearing all this crap about the Pac 10 and their high scoring offenses. USC, I give them theirs...they are the real deal. But when the 4th...and arguably the 5th, best team in the Big 12 BLOWS OUT the conference co-champions...it turns into the facts.
The SEC has too much depth, year-in and year-out, so I would say they are the best conference...but in my mind there is NO doubt who ranks number 2.
THIS IS WHY EVERY CONFERENCE SHOULD HAVE TO HAVE A CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP...BECAUSE ASU DID NOT DESERVE TO BE IN THAT GAME...2 LUCKY TOUCHDOWNS KEPT THAT THINK CLOSE.

Correction:
THE BIG TEN SUCKS EVERY YEAR!!!!!
The only reason they get teams into big games is because they don't have a conference championship...just look at what that's done to other conferences: Missouri this year, OU the year they lost to K State in the Big 12 championship...
I think Conference Championships are great and that they oust PRETENDERS...which is what Missouri is...but don't kid yourself OSU fans...you are a PRETENDER too...just in a conference without the BALLS to show it.
Without the REAL conferences, you'd not even be there

I'll respond...
I think this will be the biggest joke of a game
EVER. Ohio St is terrible...in fact I fully believe that they would lose to any of OU, VT, USC and UGA...which means that a team playing for the national title (coming from a pathetci conference, with a weak conference schedule) isn't even one of the top 5 teams

I agree...OSU can't play against speed. The big 10 is notorious for being smash-mouth defensive football, they played a weak Big 10 conf. schedule, and they didn't beat anybody (App. St. beat michigan too, congrats). I don't like the idea of a team that didn't win it's conference crown and since we've already seen Va tech and LSU...I say:
LSU v. OU
LSU v. USC

Earlier this week, in a forum, I called Bo Pelini a defensive mastermind (I hate LSU, I might add). And to my amazement I was ridiculed. After this game, can anyone tell me why Bo Pelini should not recieve a look from EVERY vacant coaching position in the country? Even if Nebraska does get him, he deserves a look...maybe Tennessee should consider a change. ||cool.gif' border=0>

That's an awesome teaser! I would say the safest one on that list is LSU...maybe USC...but that will win for sure.

I like Oklahoma here also. With Bradford back, I can't see Missouri keeping them for any less than 5 touchdowns...NOW, having said that...I know Mizzou can put up points, but I have a feeling that they choke in the big game and OU defense makes them pay with at least one defensive touchdown.

I disagree 4leaf. I'm with you on a lot of things, but not this one.
Husker fans will be watching this game today, for validation of Bo Pelini...he knows that. And Les and Bo will silence all critics by proving that they are focused on the team they coach NOW. Neither of these two has to worry about Mich or Neb THIS year. But those jobs will certainly be watching these two guys today...so they have something to prove to, not only tigers fans, but Husker and Wolves fans too

cookie...I like your openning post...lmao.
I am on LSU and VT. I don't know if you saw, but the LSU line is down to 7...I don't think Tennessee's defense gives them a chance in this game (unless bad weather hits) to keep up. LSU will score at will and Tennessee will put up points, but not enough to cover...LSU D is the difference in this game, and they will rebound after last week.
Va Tech is just too good to bet against right now. Had it not been for bad weather, and an unconscious Matt Ryan in the last 5 minutes...well...they woulda covered this. However, Matt Ryan has not been the same since that game and I doubt we see any different here today. An amazing VA TECH D, versus a struggling QB and unstable offense in the last couple weeks. VT
GL with whatever you decide

In the same regard...defenses are beat up at the end of the year. If Dorsey were healthy...McFadden wouldn't have had a running-spree. Bo Pelini matches Nickle defenses with high-scoring offenses and makes amazing adjustments when he sets in a 3-4. Kentucky and Arkansas take a coach out of their gameplan because you build your gameplan around specific players, Tennessee has no one that is enough of a threat to build a defensive gameplan around.
As for Auburn...who cares...their offense sucks, they got lucky twice this year to pull out wins they shouldn't have won. And another thing...Kansas held a lot of teams to low scores too...but when it matters...they choke...kinda like Auburn

OK!!! easymoney69? I hope that was just an off-the-wall comment about Brennan and not being able to start for half the teams in the SEC. I don't think he should win either...but only three teams in the SEC would not start him (Georgia, Florida, and Kentucky)for any other team...he adds to the offense and for some teams...would have made a run at a national title.

Hmmmmm...not likely:
LSU - 56
TENN -31
And I even hate the Tigers

Fl Atlantic will stay within two touchdowns, but will lose to a good Troy team.
Vegas is going to make a lot of money on the people who bet on Tennessee. Their offense has been exposed to a defensive-mastermind (Bo Pelini) and their defense is weak. LSU can still climb to the National Title game in a long shot, so they will make sure that they do their part in this game by blowing Tennessee out.
