I decided I will start my own.
It is typical, and indicates that the person is going to utilize a tragedy to further their political ideology.

Does anyone else shudder whenever something like this happens, and somebody starts a thread about "assault weapons" before the nomenclature of the weapon is found out?

Honestly, I got home picked up my 2 month old and cried like a baby when I got home from work today. I could not imagine what those parents are feeling right now. I almost lost it when I saw a group of crying parents embracing their children when they got off of the bus today, even the bus driver was in tears.

I am sick of the evil of the world (which I refered to in don's thread)(which got mistaken for me saying gun laws were evil)) getting a pass, while we project all of the ills of the world on inanimate objects.
Something horrendously evil happened today. Instead of looking for ways to take away people's rights, in legislation that I believe will be useless, we should take a look at our society.
Every form of entertainment in our country is based around violence. We censor nudity, but not horrific scenes of death from basic cable. As soon as a boy is old enough we put toy guns in his hands, and when his motor skills develop he kills millions of digital images of humans in video games before his testicles even drop.
We live in a country that has embraced torture and accepts collateral damage. When Ghaddafi's grandchildren were killed we whooped and hollered. (they were 12 and 16).
When Al Alaki's son was killed we also cheered.
I will not even get into our drone warfare culture.
Sometimes we have to take a deep hard look at ourselves and realize that the triggers don't pull themselves.
