If success is the ability to spoon feed a large portion of the population continued misperceptions and have those believed because that portion is not capable of thinking for themselves, yes, they are succesful.

Don't know exactly but a good start might be to aviod both FoxNews and Msnbc.
Actually, it's understandable if a commentator has biased opinions since we all do. Just don't claim yourself to be an independent, fair and balanced...etc when you clearly are not.

I acknowleged your point. However, I don't think either Msnbc or FoxNews should or could be considered fair and balanced in the past, present or the future(my guess anyway). Notice I am only stating my opinon on those channels.![]()
A better example would be a politican, standing on a moral high ground and preaching family values while in real life and later get caught....you get the picture. It just irrates me a lot more.

Bingo.
And that is the claim by Faux News (fair and balanced). I don't watch MSNBC. Do they make this claim?
The problem, as I eluded to earlier, is guys like Canovsp believe it when Faux says it. On he flip side, many left wing extremists believe everything MSNBC tells them as well.

I don't watch both that much so I am not an expert on the subject but that's my observation:
Msnbc seems to ONLY point out the faults of the Republicans while the other is doing the exact opposite. The main difference is people on Fox(especially O'Reilly and Hannity) like to remind the audience consistently how "independent, fair and balanced", non-judgemental, staunch defender of the truths and The Constitution....etc while the other side just wears it like a badge of honor.
