Obama wins a second term - Here is why

Question

From what i am seing right now, everything points towards a second Obama term.

A) Weak GOP candidates. Frankly neither Mitt (Gaffe) Romney or Newt appear to go into the election campaign as a strong contender. Both are flawed on decisive issues.

B) GOP gaffes. Especially Romney and his wealth. Everytime he opens his mouth he serves it up for a democratic campaign that appeal to economic justice and the middle class.

C) Demographics, more latinos than 4 years ago in swing states.

D) GOP candidates are looking independents right now, which means they will severely have to move towards the middle in a general election campaign. Effectively this will put them between a rock and a hardplace. Appeals to moderates and you risk losing your base and visa versa.

E) Slowly improving economic climate

F) No drama Obama. Lets face he is an awesome campaigner and against a devided GOP he will look great.

G) GOP lost the crucial battle ground state Ohio when they tried their union busting legislation there and where defeated.

H) Obama has a solid lead in Florida over both GOP candidates.

And here is why none of this matters, not even a little bit.

Obama, Romney, Gingrich, Santorum, Clinton (h.), or Biden will all do the same thing, perpetuate the same agendas, and continue the erosion of our civil liberties.

The only ancillary issues that will be different are underlying feelings on gays, and some stupid self serving rhetoric that they will never live up to.

But, I hope you and your liberal buddies all high five each other as the banks and corporations run away with another election.

Debt goes up.

Tax system never gets fixed.

Waste in govt increases.

Civil liberties decrease.

Maybe a few new wars to replace the old outdated ones.

and boom we get to do it all over again in 2016.

(hopefully Rand will be running against whatever stooge the establishment puts up).

i like it, but mikael knows more about american politics than the majority of voters in this country.  you can vote mikael.  if it&#x27;s between obama and romney, you tell me who you like and that will be my wife&#x27;s vote.  she&#x27;ll be a proxy for you.  normally i get two votes in these elections but i&#x27;ll give you one of mine.  you let me know.

But there some things more important than your political party.   I respect you for being loyal, and a minority point of view, but I keep striving for all of us to work together and hold Washington&#x27;s feet to the fire.&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;Don I ask you to take a look at the big picture.  Yeah Republican politicians are bad guys, but Democrat politicians are just as bad.&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;I finally see through all the political rhetoric. The one thing there is no getting around is Obama&#x27;s record. If voters are happy with the first four years they will vote to re-elect him. If they aren&#x27;t they will vote for the alternative.

Thanks for not reading my posts. Sometimes it is better to just sit out and let the adults talk. While your generation was arguing Rep, vs. Dem, red vs. blue, ass vs. elephant.  Both parties have taken you for fools. Glad to see, at least among my friends and family, and this small covers community, that most people are not being fooled by the false paradigm that has enslaved us.  It is not shocking that the dimmest of us slide back into this debate.  If all you have known your entire life is to love the (D) and hate the (R) or vice versa,  it must be shocking to find that they are one and the same.

Can you tell me of all the possible Democrat alternatives..President Obama has to choose from Slow Joe is the best he can do ?

I would vote for Obama. Not because he is perfect and have lived up to all his promises.

but i am more aligned with his core political beliefs than his opponents.

Also this election is not so much Obama and what he has done, but more the lousy alternatives.

Easy to agree history is on the side of Obama.  Incumbents normally win re-elections.  Only something devastating such as an improbable assassination can stop him. The key is that the economy is gradually improving after the recession ended years ago.  If a president as terrible (or unlucky) as Bush can repeat, then Obama shouldn&#x27;t have much of a problem.

I honestly don&#x27;t understand why anybody would vote for Obama unless you were unemployed, in a union, or a government worker.&#xD;&#xA;If you believe in the American dream, and you wanted to own your own business one day, the POLICIES of Obama are killing this great country.  Raising taxes, more regulation, more spending , and Obamacre is not the answer.  It&#x27;s not even close.  I hope the American people wake up in time, we need a new direction fast.

only one President (Truman) won re-election with approval ratings as low as what Obama&#x27;s are right now (44%ish). Truman ran an anti Congress campaign, as is/will Obama. Only three Presidents in history have had an overall job approval rating worse than Obama&#x27;s with less than a year to go (Carter, Truman &#x2B; Ford) That&#x27;s pretty stout to be a -150 fav.
