I dont know what is more laughable in this circus, the rhetoric or the rhetoric against the rhetoric...

"Walker said that God has told him what to do every step of the way,
including about what jobs to take, whom to marry, and when to run for
governor.
When he had first met his wife, he said, “That night I heard Christ tell me, ‘This is the person you’re going to be with.’ ”
He said he was trusting and obeying God when he took a job at IBM and
then at the Red Cross. ““Lord, if this is what you want, I’ll try it,”
he said. It was all about “trust and obey.” |

#3 Posted: 3/10/2011 9:32:46 AM i was scanning my bible last night to try and figure out god's stance on unions. i couldn't find anything but i'm sure that's only because i didn't get the right interpretation. anyway, if walker says god hates unions, let it be so. |

#8 Posted: 3/10/2011 11:15:54 AM well he has a point. the liberals of my moms age would fight to the end to preserve the right of another to express an opinion even if they disagreed with it or not. i'll get even broader, the 15-35 crowd(D?R?) enjoys shouting down dissent. maybe its always been that way but i think politeness is a dying trait.

Tolerance? Should we tolerate our government officials if they say the earth is flat, the sky is brown and gravity is an illuminati conspiracy? No one is trying to supress the guy's right to say darn all stupid garbage like jesus told me to bang my wife and work at IBM, but I feel that any thinking person has a duty to call out a public official whenever they utter such drivel. |

#13 Posted: 3/10/2011 1:44:17 PM So people of faith aren't fit to govern? Only those who toe the darwinism theology line are to be elected?

#14 Posted: 3/10/2011 1:45:11 PM i have spent a large amount of time around folks who designate themselves as "Christian" . they pray for everything all the time. like stonewall jackson in Gods and Generals. they are generally very good people yet look to supernatural outside positive forces to move them like a giant ouiji board piece.the fallacy of a micromanaging God is of course that during the 30 seconds it took me to type this, He gave a few babies aids and ditched out lots of malaria to folks. |

#15 Posted: 3/10/2011 1:50:23 PM people of faith are very fit to govern. as a general rule their morals are far better than those with no faith. this broad brush can be decimated by many examples but i stand by the generalization. the problem comes when faith based morality issues conflict with the law.
everyone of our great presidents had faith so your statement is inherently correct. they also had wisdom and only time and painful experience analyzed teaches that. |

#16 Posted: 3/10/2011 2:21:46 PM people of faith, whatever they may be faithful to, are not unfit to govern, per se.
however, people who use their god, the tooth fairy, the invisible man, santa claus, the easter bunny or any other presumed entity to justify political decisions are either manipulative or delusional and as a result, are unfit to govern. |

#18 Posted: 3/10/2011 3:55:34 PM What if Scott Walker was really talking to Satan who tricked him into thinking it was Jesus talking to him?
Scott Walker: Jesus, please show me what I should do now that I am governor. I need your guidance.
Satan: Scott, I am here.
Scott Walker: Jesus? Is that really you?
Satan: Uh, yea. Its me...Jesus.
Scott Walker: Oh Jesus!! It really is you!! Hallejuah!!
Satan: Uh, yea sure, whatever. Ok now listen close Scott. I need you to cut funding for all the teachers in your state.
Scott Walker: Cut funding for teachers? But Jesus. Teachers are very valuable to educating our youth.
Satan: Are you questioning Jesus Scott? Don't make me have to get my father to burn your bushes.
Scott Walker: Oh no Jesus. I would never question you. Ok. Yes. I will cut funding for all the teachers. Praise Jesus! And thank you for letting me meet my beautiful wife!!
Satan: Oh yea, sure no problem. (mumbles) She likes black cock when you are out of town.
Scott Walker: What was that Jesus?
Satan: I said I hated wearing that thorny crown.
Scott Walker: Ok Jesus. I love you.
Satan: mmm, mmm, ok. love you too. (snickering) |

all this bullshit will be so much better when this dirtbag gets caught banging some other woman and he will get caught. Most of the politicians who talk this bullshit always get caught eating their own words. |
