i hear ya. i guess i was lookin for a few names that you found to be trustworthy. from the ron paul support you had and have i guess i was lookin for an endorsement from a view point of supporting a specific agenda. when you have time drop a few names for specific spots on the board. and, in your opinion what would be the very first thing he attempts to tackle. i say the educational system. if he says he would gain economic support by building from the bottom up, i would think that establishing an educational system that would begin to solidify our kids at an early stage and grant teachers a more competitive salsry base. i agree that incentives and being held directlly responsible for their students progress should factor into those incentives but also requiring parents to be ore directly involved on that process.
just an example of where my daughter goes to school (public) is that on the first day the school required parent to attend a meeting either at 8:40 am or 5:30 pm. me, i am thinkin i would go early and it wouldnt be so crowded but lo and behold i didnt have a seat and had to get a spot along the walls of the gymnasium. although she does attend one of the best elem. schools i didnt expect such a big turn out but it wasnt a total shock. in my opinion this is what being involved does for early childhood development. it assures the teachers that the parents are in support of their childrens education. i could go on but i am really pumped and excited about this. last nite i woke my lil one up (8) to watch the speech and amazing to see she was really excited as they has an election of their own at her school with the same results.lol
i hope that we as in my people can begin to respect ourselves as we now have a serious commitment to uphold in the american eye. i overstand the disagreements that white america has with our actions but in order o overstand the why's of the problem we must put away the stereotypes that are more of a hinderence than anything.
choice is a bad muhfuka and last nite was a start to where an understanding between races can begin to negotiate a healing process that will not be solved overnite but at the same time it is a seat that both ends of the table must take. as my manz said last nite, "yes we can" i believe that obama can uphold the characteristics he has displayed along the campaign trail. unlike any other president he has a mighty load to carry as he will be judged with a microscope and dissected with a knife. but, as his leadership has shown, an education and communication skills can take a person beyond their wildest dreams, i believe that education should be first and foremost amongst his many problems that require modifications.
get at me koaj and anybody else with reasonable thoughts on the new presidents most glaring solutions to solidifying our foundation in order to right this ship.

i sent my daughter to montessori school from the age of three up to 1st grade. i then sent her to one of the best if not the best public school that has heavy parental involvement as well as a very well structured teacher setting where they are highly qualfied and their credentials are for every parent to see. i absolutely love this school as does my daughter. on the weekends she attends a math camp at marygrove college and after that ends she will be into the literary camp. what i am saying is that i do think that public schooling can and will work if everybody is involved. yes, there are bad schools and plenty of them, but with a combined effort i do think that it can work.
i would like to see free choice of schooling and some incentives for our educators if they meet certain criteria in student performance and if they dont meet them, no, you dont fire them but put them on a probationary period to see what can be done to remedy the problem. but, like i said earlier i think it is parental involvement that is key to a well rounded eduactional atmosphere. when you make learning a family thing it becomes second natured almost like using the restroom. for me, both me and my wife attended the same college together. we understand the importance of a pre-paid college tuition program, savings bonds, the michigan educational savings programs where we will have our kids tuition paid before they get to high school. it's our furture thats at stake here and i do believe the foundation is the family/staff cooperation that nurtures a healthy learning atmosphere.

no these type of people make the best crooks. Do as i say, not as i do has nothing to do with lead by example. What it means is they like other people to follow the rules while they break them.

KOAJ,
I live in new york state, so i know all about Rudy. The guy is another one of these guys who like to tell people what morals to follow, but he doesnt follow them himself.
Am 100 percent there are better candidates out there for the job.
Iam disappointed in Obamas chief of staff. I was hoping that he would have picked somebody who could work with the republicans better. I hope his next selections start getting better.
