#1 Posted: 8/26/2012 7:24:22 PM Had 6th pick overall in my league draft today took Brady but now my RBS are a huge mess
RB #1 I have sproles which is fine but my RB 2 is going to be a crap shoot with Gerhart, Shonn Greene, Jon Dwyer, and Alfred Morris

#3 Posted: 8/26/2012 10:41:18 PM I like your pick at the #6. Brady is poised to have a very good year. Its a tough spot for sure with your RB situation. Not sure if I would have taken DMC or CJ at #6 myself, I think you did the right thing but you must be very alert to whats going on in NFL backfields this year. There is always somebody that steps out from no where. Ive once lost a playoff game to a performance by Samkon Gado. Good luck sir. |

#5 Posted: 8/27/2012 2:52:31 AM This is why I avoid QB early, You can find a 30 td guy in 3rd or 4th round... You can only find a handcuff rb there this year.
I would go Green out of these rb's... Morris could be the better bet, but who knows what goes on in Washington.

#7 Posted: 8/27/2012 2:15:09 PM do that trade u mentioned in ur other post...
brady, wallace, greene for luck, rice, marshall..... u r definitely coming out ahead in that situation... from what i have seen in preseason i think luck is going to have a decent to good year, maybe 3,000 yards 20 Tds... u will take a hit in QB number but rice and marshall are huge improvements over greene and wallace |

#8 Posted: 8/27/2012 4:03:57 PM It is borderline insane to trust your fantasy season to Mike Shanahan and his stable of RBs. History tells you do not do it. Since Terrel Davis there have been as many RB's to have monster games under Shanny as QBs recycled by the Dolphins since Marino.
Mike Anderson
Olandis Gary
Tatum Bell
Rueben Droughns
Tatum Bell (Took job from Mike Bell who was named starter)
Last year it was craziness. Hair pulling trying to figure it who its going to be. Im personally a fan of Morris given the connection, but Im just warning you to stay away from that situation. |

#9 Posted: 8/28/2012 3:48:32 AM theres no real chance the rice deal goes through...gerhart could have a big year otherwise it looks like i'll have to bank on morris or shonn green unless i pull off a trade....funny you mention bell and droughtns, in the past both those guys made huge contributions to my winning teams, bell a little bit before he went down with the injury but rueben droughns was a beast for me all season that year |

#11 Posted: 8/28/2012 11:09:58 AM Without having atleast 2 solid starters you are going to have problems.
Is Hardesty available from the Browns? Also looking at R Turbin in Seattle with possible Marshawn suspension. Look for other injury situations. With Matthews banged up who is going to get all the carries in SD? Go hit the waivers |

There was your issue. WR is deep this year while RB is very thin. Another RB instead of Smith would have been more beneficial. I'd say try and trade Smith for RB depth |

#14 Posted: 8/30/2012 2:46:46 PM I agree you took too many WR's in a row. I dont think brady was a bad choice, I just would not have gone 3 WR's in a row. You can usually get some stats from 3rd and 4th WR's. It is really tough to expect stats from backup RB's at least team changing stats. |
