Agreed.  The Pirates have gotten to Blanton before now.  Coming off that shutout loss, should help to fuel their collective fire.

Zach`s road stats do not enthuse in this matchup at all.With the Pirates being deep into a road trip that is yielding very few hits let alone runs, I can see much of the same occurring tonight...
Blantons numbers at home are not that bad..Much like Pineiro, he has been robbed of the wins by his relievers and much like Pineiro his relievers are rested and ready to close it out at home..
Added to that is the Lefty factor....Check it out guitar George...

Just heard Pedro Martinez is starting today for the Phillies even while his agent works out the specifics of his contract.  See this as the emotional lift to push them past PITT.

Going homer here an taking the Phightns.  Like the under as well.  Big Joe has been pitching well and could be the #1 guy right now.  Duke worries me a little, but the Bucos bats have been pretty quiet over the past 10 games.

phils' bats are heating up and blanton has gotten better each month.  pirates on the road are risky as hell at 16-30 and i can't see duke just baffling the phils at the c-bank.  that line is doing what it's supposed to do.
