took phillies in game 1 and it is in the 7th inning 3-2 phils hoping they hang on but game 2 is  DEF the time to take TAMPA.... shields at home is a beast and (hopefully after tonights loss) tampa will be in a must win situation before heading to philly
 
disclaimer: if the phillies lose after i post this than i still take the rays in game 2 and pound it hard

And I think the Phillies will win the Series in 6 maybe 5

Well last night was a close one but it was a must win for Philly. Tonight its a must win for Tampa. I will double up and take the Rays. I may also take the RL. Tampa bats will come alive tonight.

Going with PHILI - Shields isn't worth -160 in my eyes.  He can last anywhere from 5-7 innings as well as Myers.  TB only has 2 rested in the bullpen vs. Phili with 4.  Took a chance with Phili last night with hesitation knowing I had 3 strikes against me to start - the turf; homefield disadvantage and the damn cow bells.  Phili proved themselves on all three of those counts.  Granted Myers can choke, but I am thinking this outting he will surprise himself!

Last night was sweet indeed and smaller play is in order picking the Rays tonight.Being a Marlins fan,being at that crucial sept.29th game when Myers got bombed,yours truly rattled the poor SOB via 1 st row home plate seat.With Cowbells galore,being on the road,odds are Myers will get in plenty trouble  facing similar offensive punch as Marlins. Sanchez had them running wild and expect Madden to do the same + Couple BIG Bonuses making Rays an easy pic tonight : Howard seems stuck in similar big Pappi Slump.His timing is way off,seems uncomfortable  playing in dome noise  and Shields should have his way with him + Balfour must have a friggin rubber arm ,surprising as hell , still throwing 97 MPH after hard fought Bosux series.He'll be ready tonite as Rays can't afford going down 0-2. On the counter side,sense Phillies  Werth / Utley punch is destined to be major headache for Rays combined with Lidge guaranteeing to shut door down ,hence this could possibly turn into a Philly Sweep . Small Play on RAYS to score at least 5 Runs which should be more than enough for Shields.GOOD LUCK

I know I took the Rays last night on a small play and lost.  Cole Hamels was 2-0 in the post season in Game 1's heading into last night.  Again, that was something I overlooked because it was @ Tropicana Field.  Any of you Philly losers who think you are going to win this series and especially SWEEP (hahahahahhahaha) are out of your retarded minds.  Rays take care of business tonight and head to Philly knotted up 1-1.

No Doubt , Rays seem to have the better balanced team ,they should win just like the A's should of beaten the Reds back in 1990 and look what happened.If Phillies win tonight,hate to say it's over Babeeee !

I think Tampa Bay wins this one, but i don't see a lot of value in taking them at these odds. Therefore, i think the OVER bet has the most value. These teams are both loaded with power and speed and you know that the MLB wants this to be a high scoring series. Pound the over on this series from here on out. Look for a small strike zone and a lot of runs.

Just my opinion.

Phillies looked fresh and focused last night.  Maybe some of us are underestimating how good the Phils are playing in the playoffs...some have said who has PHI beat?  Dodgers?   Well LA was the hottest team in the NL playoffs, they were at the top of their game, they had the bats and pitchers to get it done and the Phils still got past them. 

Obviously the week long layover didn't do shit to the Phils.  They consistently got on base on the road, and if they weren't throwing Hamels last night, the over would have come in in Spaids.  Hamels isn't pitching tonight and the game 1 jitters are gone.

phillys will not sweep!!!i had phils/under last nite, hit both ways...tonite tampa/over...shields is a big game pitcher, and i highly doubt that tampa will lose 2 in a row at home, esp after their bats were put in check last nite by hamels...meyers is not even close to hamels, itll prolly be high scoring but i def like tampa...prolly around 7-4

Have to agree, Rosco.  Shields and the Rays tonight.
 
Also, playing for a run in the 1st inning.  It's amazing how often this occurs in the playoffs.
