#3 Posted: 5/14/2008 2:30:08 PM The books are probably pissed that the home teams are continually winning and covering. I think this line should have opened around 5.5 but it opened at 7 to entice bettors to take the Hornets. The home teams in this series have won every game by at least double digits, don't think it will stop here. Spurs -chalk |

#6 Posted: 5/15/2008 2:05:00 AM for some reason the money is on the hornets, but yet the stats lean for the spurs. Spurs -7 500 Bucks. Sportsbook.com

#9 Posted: 5/15/2008 5:03:16 AM Spurs will come with the D we've been accustomed to for so many years. This one will be like the last 2 games and go under under under. Peja will be worthless, West isnt going for another 30+ night and cp3 willl be CP3 and get his. I think it will stay close but spurs win but not cover.
hornets and the under

#11 Posted: 5/15/2008 8:48:10 AM Wow, 3 virgin posters in the wee hours of the morning and they all like the Hornets. That's interesting. Hey, are you guys plants? I'm kind of kidding, but it does look weird, doesn't it? No offense, welcome aboard, but I'm hoping for no beginners luck.

#13 Posted: 5/15/2008 9:00:25 AM Tought call on this game the trend is the home team covers....the other things is that this is an elimination game so i think the spurs will not let up. but will they have a choice?
I would go with the spurs on this game. -7

#18 Posted: 5/15/2008 9:38:56 AM Early lean is toward the Hornets here, as I believe they get the win tonight and the Celtics get the win tomorrow just to make things really interesting for the Conference Finals. I am going to wait until I get home from work however and check out the money and the line movements before I make my decision though.

#22 Posted: 5/15/2008 10:37:32 AM Both Chandler and West are playing but not at 100%. Chandler could have gone back in the game but they were winning and didn't need him to. West is getting treatment on his back just like Kobe.
I agree, this will be a defensive minded elimination game with tough defense on both ends. NO will struggle on offense like they usually do on the road, but i don't see SA doing much better with NO playing better defense then the last two games in SA.
This will most likely come down to the final possession with the Spurs winning but not covering. I hope they lose, but let's face it, they've been here too many times before and experience will probably win tonight. NO +7 and under (92-88).

#24 Posted: 5/15/2008 12:49:55 PM I'm thinking Spurs too but I've got nothing to back it up other than this home game trend going on...hard to bet against it really. I'll wait and see what the Night train says. |
