I think 7 is too many points with as good 3 point shooters that ORL has, closeout games are also usually pretty tight so I think DET wins SU but does not cover here

Det. will play some great ball tomorrow. Need to see what the
1st qtr, 1st hlf lines are.
I would think Det -1.5 for the 1st & -3 for the half. If so , I think
DET will jump out early like they always do.... & go in to the half
up...
Just need to sleep on it, I got DET -6 for the game. can see that too if ORL gets down early..........they will throw in the towel late in 4th & allow DET to cover game...... that will make HOME TEAMS 16-1 in the 2nd round

Shortly after going down 3-1 in the second round, Orlando's point guard said the Magic would go on the road and beat Detroit to extend the series.
``What am I supposed to do? Guarantee a loss?' Nelson asked Monday. ``We've got to win the game. We have the confidence that we can do it.
``I believe it.'
THING TO PONDER:
Detroit had never closes out a 5 game series.. they also wins it in 6 or 7 games esp now w/o Billups and i do believe giving Orl +7 in a close out is money... Detroit wins bt does nt cover mybe 3-5pts

Jameer Nelson is sticking to his guarantee..

QUOTE-Howard admitted he was frustrated the Magic were forced into Detroit's half-court game. They couldn't get out in transition, which was the key to their 111-point effort in a Game 3 victory, and he couldn't get the ball in position to score."We've got to play our game - that's the only way to beat these guys," Howard said. "We can't get stuck into playing the way they play basketball." END QUOTE-
With dat being said, i look 4 orlando to be aggressive like they did in the first half of last game, as well as the game in which they won 111-86 in Orlando. Im not saying that ORL. will win becuz as history has proven,ORL is 1-11 SU when playing on the road in detroit.....but if they stand a chance in hell ,then ORL will have to play their game....not Detroits. One trend i have noticed in this series is that in 2-3 games ORL lost has been becuz of Dewight Howards struggles, causing the games to go UNDER the total....but every game after that Howard has stepped up as well as the rest of Orlando, causing the game to go over........AND ONE THING BOTH TEAMS HAVE IN COMMON IS THE TOTAL HAS GONE OVER 10-12 TIMES WHEN ORANDO PLAYS IN DETROIT ......OVER IS THE PLAY

As far as the spread of DET -6 is concerned.....both teams need this win,so it will definitely be a dog fight....its obvious ORL needs the win more to keep from going fishing,so they should be the aggressor....from me being a athlete,i know that hamstring injuries are serious as hell, and have to heal on their own.....cant be rushed, so i doubt Billups play....which is why Detroit needs this win also....Detroit understands that if they win this game, that will give Billups a week to rest as well as the other veterans.....however if Detroit loses then most likely that will force Billups back in the line up for game 6 on thursday ,which he would not be 100% in. This year detroit is 3-1 ats at home against Orlando including the postseason....but in the two games without Billups, Orlando is 1-1 ats....although both games were played in orlando, they only loss by 1 point last game in which they were favored -5.5.Tommorow orlando is listed as a +6 underdog in detroit.
the most logical pick would have to be ORLANDO....but if DEtroit takes them out of their game, detroit will cover easy.....
ORLANDO +6 with a half point buy(small)
OVER(BIG)

Painful night last night as I had the C's for the game big.
The under in 1st and 2nd half lessened the blow a little bit but I was shocked at how the Celtics responded in the 4th quarter when push came to shove. I continue to think they will show some heart in a hostile place and they continue to take my money.
Lebron, conversely, is so good that he can stink and still do things to put his team over the top at the end.
Anyway, on this game I agree with Nightridah on the Over. It's not rocket science IMO...3 pt shooters for ORL, ORL would let up 90 points to me, Nightridah, and any 3 other people in this forum.
Gun to head to pick a side I'd take Detroit minus the chalk.
One thing to think about is I think Detroit gains something defensively with Hunter and Dixon seeing minutes. They lose scoring, but defensively those 2 guys are solid.
I hope the majority of us can hit tonight...I need it bad!

Nightridah...you still think it will go over 186 in Detroit? I think they will take the air right out of the ball...especially if they don't have Billups in there.
Here is how I see this game happening. Detroit will dominate the first half. Pressure is all on Orlando. The Pistons will be so thrilled that they were the only team this round to win on the road, they will come out like a house on fire and get a nice 7-10 point lead at the half. I'm thinking along the lines of 48-40. Second half is when the Magic will make their run, as I think the Pistons will go back to their old selves and try and mail in the game, expecting the Magic to just be so deflated at halftime that they will just lay down in the 2nd half. The Magic will make a run and the Pistons will have to go into emergency mode, knowing that going back to Orlando for Game 6 is not a brilliant idea. When it comes right down to it though, I just don't see the Magic being able to consistently shoot the ball well enough to win in Detroit. The Pistons step up the defensive intensity that much more at home, and from what I have seen, the Magic haven't been able to get the shooting touch at The Palace. Going to lay off the game totals here and stick to the half.
Detroit -3 1st half ( BIG )
Prediction: Pistons 91 Magic 86

Lez-teroi------------- Please don't post on here anymore....You suck dude...Plain and simple.....Nice call on the second half Boston/Cleveland game you tool......You post as if you are an great handicapper.....But I have been watching you and you loose vere..very ...very often.....Nice job
Stappy, all your posts either thank people or blast people for their picks. You bring no value to this site whatsoever. If you are here just to get advice, then just read, don't post. If you lose, don't cry and don't blast people. You are obviously not good enough to make your own picks, or don't have the guts too, so don't blast people who have the conviction to have a strong opinion on a game.
No pick on this contest tonight. Like NO -3.5 in the other game though. I just had to comment to on this low-class leech. If you want guaranteed money invest in low yield bonds you dork.

Ok! if chauncey plays they will cover easy! The gaurds for orl is not enuff. If Chauncey doesn't play then they still win in a close battle as before, I like the over as well.!
Pistons -2 Total points = Over somewhere in the range of 188
