home favs were the ticket yesterday and i'm betting that's the case here again.  Utah simply outclasses HOU, who is dry of superstars outside of mcgrady.  Watching that last game, every time the rockets went inside with it to their forwards (their bread and butter offensively during the year) they met hard fierce opposition and were horrendously outrebounded.  Jazz are the better team, they are healthier and they are playing much better ball... they just own the rockets.

Jazz -8 (buy the hook though, long games can get close late)

and if for some reason that doesn't hit, I'm doubling up and going at it again next game.

it would also blow my mind if this game doesn't go over 181.  Utah wins off defense on the road, but at home, they rarely miss, I see Houston scoring 85+ and the Jazz scoring 100+.  My guess would be 102-88 if I were to put a total on that.  I'll wait until I get someone agreeing with me before I pull the trigger on it, but in the early i'm liking:

Had all home teams yesterday, Utah will continue that trend with a BLOW-OUT. Houston blew heir load with their 22 game win streak. They knew in their hearts they were done when Yao went down. Tmac is already working on his tearful speech to reporters for after game 4. Utah-111, Houston-89.

i wish i could say that houston will win this game ....but i gotta better chance of hitting the lottery...or better yet osama bin laden has a better chance of becoming president in the U.S.......i just hope mcgrady dont start crying again....i like dudes game 4real.....the rockets just to banged up to compete....hopefully 4 mcgrady's sake they come to play like they did when they was on that hellified win streak.....n play for me .......except on the over.....as long as ming aint playing......utah will score like theres no tommorrow...... im big on the over

Utah 1st H for me right now.  It will probably be -4.5 and I think Utah comes out roaring at home.  McGrady in a rut right now and I think that his heart just isn't in it.  Considering giving 8.5 to the Rockets but not sure since they are a desperate team right now and anything can happen in the playoffs even with Utah being a 91% public favorite.  Maybe a big play in 1H on Utah and a small play on the game at -8.5 (hopefully it won't go up too much since I won't place the bet until 7:00 and you have to figure that Houston will cover at least ONE game).  nightrida is right on the over though, Utah WILL get into the low 100's coming back home and Houston will be playing catch up all game.

If my inside info. is good the rockets + 8.5 will be my bet. mcGrady will put good numbers and the Jazz will have a off night.$5000 for me.

Although i am not betting this game personally, Houston +9 is the call due to statistics which indicate that teams that have lost the 1st two games at home in a series ats seem to always cover in the third game. The money is so heavily on Utah's side that obviously the books are on the side of Houston. that's the side I will be on if i make a late decision to take this game.

Now, the Jazz have to live up to their reputation of being one of the most difficult home teams in the NBA.

Until they do or prove otherwise, I say they win and cover. They are 5-2 ATS and 7-1 SU against Houston in Utah. Buying 3 and taking Utah. I'm hoping Houston money brings the line back down a little. That 9.5 right now (like Stylistic says) is a lot

I can NOT bring myself to get a piece of a 9 pt spread in either direction for this game.  T-Mac, Utah at home, Utah up 2-0, Houston down 0-2, the human/pride factor.....I dont get warm fuzzies on either side of the coin.  I am nervous about buying it down.  So, No play for me except the over.

The Rockets can score more points with Alston in the lineup,and Utah has been generating 90+ points out of their offense in the two slow-paced games. Game 1 had 81.5 possessions.Game 2 had 86 possessions. Houston and Utah averaged 90 and 92 possessions per game this season. This series began at a Total of 186.5, went to 183.5 for Game 2,and each went Under. For tonight's game, the number opened at 181(it has been increasing all day) at the same time that an efficient offensive home team (Utah averaged 24.4 assists per game in the regular season)comes home with the ability to score from a lot of spots on the floor and the visiting team is in desperation mode ready and willing to put up some points and keep up with Utah.
