#2 Posted: 1/2/2012 3:44:32 AM I like the Gmen here @ home, defense wise, they are healthy. Offense wise, they are in sync. I do see they will be in GB the following week. I think it it will be a push -3 but the over look good.

#4 Posted: 1/3/2012 9:12:22 AM Giants Defense is getting healthy at the right time and has been coming up big as of late. 11 sacks in the past 2 weeks. Ryan will be pressured all day. Atlanta has lost 2 out of last 3 on the road. Just not the same team outside of the Georgia Dome...
Giants -3.
I believe this line will increase... GLA!

#6 Posted: 1/3/2012 11:14:31 PM I'm leanin Atlanta too...but a dome team out in the cold, the g-men have been surging lately...but then again so has Atlanta. Ryan is hungry for a playoff win, one of the few elite QBs w/o one.... almost a coin flip. If the line moves off the key number to 3.5, i'll go with Atlanta...

#7 Posted: 1/4/2012 8:05:37 AM The Best Bet of the weekend is the Giants only laying 3. Giant defense is starting to assert itself and most of the defense line is back off injuries. Giants win by at least ten points. |

#9 Posted: 1/4/2012 5:21:22 PM I'm seeing both teams quite capable of scoring around 30 points. The Dirty Birds with the better offense, but the G-men with the better "D". Believe contest will be decided in OT.

So, that 23-10 loss to the Deadskins a few weeks ago is the Giants defense "asserting" themselves?
Are you Giants backers feeling strong about Eli's 9-for-27 "win" over the crappy Jets a couple of weeks ago?
Friggin' Romo with no help from anybody on his team still carved the G-Sucks up for nearly 300 yards and 2 TD's last week. That "assertive" defense didn't look so "assertive" in the third quarter now, did they........
Let's face it The Giants got LUCKY - - a fumble, a muffed punt, and an interception - - 3 chances at turning the tide - and luckily the Giants recovered them all.
This game will be the "Turner And T-Gonz" show - - along with a couple of mouth-breathing, confused "I can't believe I threw another pick" shots of Eli.............
Plus I get 3 points??
Sign me UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
M/L/ Too!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, I'm thinking the under too.......... |

#11 Posted: 1/4/2012 10:56:40 PM ATL +3 (1u) - Ryam is going against a Giants’ secondary that allowed 255.1 pypg d (29th in the league). Soooo, even tho its out of the dome and cold, i'm betting Ryan finally wins a playoff game. SCORE: Falcons 30-Giants 24.

Frankly, I agree here with ewillie 169 's assessment. Personally, I don't buy hooks. When I capped this, I also was seeing the possibilities on the Falcons. What I see is a very close Atlanta win,by 1 or 2 pts. I also can make a case for the game going into OT. And with a possible push. While I can honestly say that this season the Falcons were so-so on the road, one game I was impressed with was their road victory over Detroit. I know damn well that there is no way in hell the G-Men could beat the Lions.

#15 Posted: 1/5/2012 10:46:24 AM Borrowing a line from Apocalypse now.
"The light and space of Vietnam really put the zap on his head."
Replace Vietnam with Jersey. Falcons are a team that plays inside a climate controlled gym, now they'll be out in the open air with the sun in their eyes.
If Osi has 2 sacks chances are there will be 2 fumbles too. I love defense. 3 points is not a hard cover. Being a Giants fan, sure i want them to win. I don't see Falcons as a big threat. The game, like a race, is always close at the start. I think the Falcons coach will also make a few mistakes between trying to stay warm on the sidelines.
Plus any kicking game from a dome kicker outdoors is shaky. If he misses his first kick, it's in his head. Winds are forecasted at 7mph, that 7mph more than a dome kicker is use to.
Giants 31, Falcons 17

#16 Posted: 1/5/2012 6:09:55 PM This is the only "tough" game this weekend to me. Atl by the numbers should be giving a point, point and a half to the Giants...so the line is off imo but everyone knows that Atl can't score much outside the Georgia Dome and they don't travel well (4-4 record away)...here's my problem however, the Giants suck at home (4-4 record ) but I just watched two games where their D-line was pretty damn good and I know the weather will end up being a factor. So having said that I will place a medium wager on NY-3 and hope Matty Ice (who some of you say is a premier qb-right up there with goober Eli imo???) gets freezer burn. |

#17 Posted: 1/5/2012 6:31:05 PM If there is an upset this weekend, it will be Atlanta over Giants. I was on Giants last week and was glad to make $$ off that game but I like Atlanta +3 here. Please let the line move to 3.5.. Will wait till last minute! |

I also like the under. Guessing the total score will be 41 to 43. |

My thoughts exactly this is going to be a field goal game in the last seconds or O.T. |

#25 Posted: 1/7/2012 11:49:00 AM Eli making less mistakes than usual. Being more consistent and injuries healing at the right time make this team a superbowl contender. Atlanta beats up on turd teams and thats it! Giants and over for the large! |
