I'm not so sure... I may not play this game, but think ILL is capable of winning. Last week was a trap game for them. They are back home and will be fired up.

Spreads in this rivalry have usually been on average 14.5 for Michigan over the last 7 times these 2 have met. last year the spread was 18 which of course Michigan didn't cover. However, the spread now stands at one for Michigan based wholly upon Hart's inability to play in this game. But Michigan is loaded at tailback anyway with Brandon Minor and Carlos Brown. Brandon rushed for 108 yards last season against Ball State, and had 17 rushes against Notre Dame this year for 88 yards. Carlos Brown is the primary kick returner, but against Purdue he got some carries and went 13 carries for 66 yards and two touchdowns. On returns he has long of 51 yards against Penn State, and 39 against Purdue.
henne has a fire up underneath his ass with Mallett pressing for playing time after a successful job of filling in when Henne was injured. So Michigan does have depth at the qb position.
And as for Ilinois, the two qb system is working on the ground, but in the air is another story. The Illini average only 151 yards a game passing, good for 113th in the nation, and 243 on the ground for 8th in the nation in rushing. On defense they give up 361 yards per game, with 255.4 of that coming through the air.
Conversely Michigan gives up 339 total yards, and 212 of that through the air. Oh wait a minute, illinois can't throw the ball. Other than that they give up 126 on the ground.
With illinois being so one dimensional this plays into Michigan's favor, as they corners can play man and the safety can get invloved in stopping the running game of illinois. Iowa exposed Illinois weaknesses. michigan will only make things worse. This game falls into the category of a big money game, with the money being on Michigan. Too much balance on offense

As a Michigan and Big 10 fan I'd say that is a great writeup cocknocker. Brown could be good if he stops fumbling but Hart makes this entire team go and is HUGE in pass protection. Inside word has him in a protective boot over the last few days and he will be a game time decision.
The line moved due to Hart and Dr. Bob's pick yesterday.
This game scares the hell out of me as a fan (running QB) but I could also see a 27-17 point win for Blue.

This game looks like the Louisville/UConn game to me. You have a road team that looks like they should dominate, but they have dropped some games that they shouldn't have, so you know they probably won't come out flat. The public is loving Michigan and I would usually jump all over Illinois like I did when the played PSU and Wisconsin, but this game is scary. This looks like a game you should wait on and look at the second half line. That way you can see if Michigan has Hart and how effective he is.
P.S. Anybody with solid info on Mike Hart, please hook a brotha up. And please don't cut and paste an update from espn.com, I can read those myself. I am basically looking for someone from the Michigan area that can tell me how he has been practicing, what percent he is, and what your local news is saying. Thanks.
